I made a joke about how bad Everton were vs Southampton but it could have been misconstrued as insensitive in the context. I went to bed after that so the time elapsed to delete it/apologise so now I'm the worst person on the forum/planet.

Thankfully the validation of online strangers isn't high up on my list of things to need so I am okay with being on the FBI's most wanted list.

Dist Depots usually deal with 20000 items a day, in normal days, and double that at Christmas, are managing with 45000 a day. Just. Before Christmas.

That means a 12 hour day for the drivers, at least 6 days a week. Some are doing 7. For the last 6 months.

But genius, with zero understanding of the system, says "They can be better organised".

I said I saw a funeral video link on Sunday - Sky coverage of St Mary's pitch.

Obviously you're well aware. But the point was more generalised around the 'why don't hospitals have more beds, it's because if Tory cuts'.

It's because by and large people recover better at home.

The royal specifically lowered the number of beds in the new build for the exact reason of discharging and community care.

In all my years , including my own experience we all just can't wait to get out of hospital the minute we are able to. It's just not a place you want to be in , especially if you have started feeling better.

Part of it will absolutely be mental, your own bed feels much better than a hospital one.

I said it was possibly insensitive but think it’s pretty clear to see all I was making a joke about was Everton’s performance on an Everton forum.

Time and place mate - put yourself in the same position and I doubt you’d have been particularly happy with a similar comment. And having known it did offend someone who was already in pain, even if that was not your intention, surely kinder to just apologize and move on?
