Yeah so my suggestion of perhaps letting people who aren't at risk go back to relative normality and protecting the old and sick is horse manure.

Because the stats only say 1% under 60 die of covid directly. That 95% of people have other health issues before dying with covid (with no indication of whether said person was dying to begin with). That the average age of death is 82.5.

All of this suggests shut everywhere down at all costs , it doesn't suggest that maybe there is other factors in play that maybe would lean toward a more effective way of managing both an economy and pandemic.

Has to be one extreme or another, the data doesnt matter when it doesn't suggest we are all going to die. That's all I do , suggest alternative viewpoints based on the actual data. The more this data comes out, the more it backs up what I'm saying to be closer to the truth than the shut them down and murderer lines spouted by others.

1% of 31000 in 7 months. That's the perspective people need to be looking at.

I don’t think anyone argues that “other factors” such as existing medical conditions don’t come into play, do they?

Last time I looked the pre existing conditions included asthma, autism, diabetes and rheumatological conditions. So not necessarily people who were at death’s door prior to getting Covid.

There's many underlying issues , the biggest at 25% is dementia. Other make ups of the underlying issues include serious cardio vascular issues , severe diabetes complications and severe respiratory issues. According to the guardian and their data.

It's this idea that covid is killing people. It is sure, but at the same time the perspective is that the old and sick are most affected by it. Everything is more dangerous to the old and sick , even minor coronaviruses can have a much greater effect in these groups. Same as flu deaths increase when the vaccine doesn't do its job (2016?) Which again is proven.

I consider things from a bigger picture, from the effects of all of this has on more than just mortality. The fact is they do seem to know what the underlying issues are and they aren't mild. They do seem to know the age groups and they are clearly not many under 65.

We are beyond the point of all of this being a mystery because this data repeats around the world, from us to Japan to Italy . Similar statistics even if the numbers affected are smaller.

Just amazes me that people still dismiss the actual information we have even now and shoot down anyone who bases their opinion on the data .
