Add to that the fact as we’ve seen with the BLM marches, it wouldn’t appear that it spreads in outdoor crowds.

The youth have always rebelled, it’s what they do.

I'm not sure about that mate, the BLM protests came after a prolonged period of lockdown. In theory there should have only been a handful of people infected within those crowds. This time I would expect to see a far higher figure and therefore a greater chance of people catching the virus accelerating the spread even in an outdoor environment.

Only time will tell, but I’d be very surprised if walkers are catching it on Snowdon and the likes.

City centre apre pub gatherings where loads are singing and bumping into each other - yes.

Always amuses me the way people obsess about Snowdon. We’re in Wales this week and we went up one of the other mountains in the range and it was totally deserted. Why you’d want to queue up on a mountain is beyond me. Instagram I suppose.

It is the worst mountain to walk up in North Wales, even worse than Siabod is (which for all its dullness rarely has a pack of bellends at the what passes for a top).

If they're tightly packed together like those serfs in Trafalgar Square yesterday, yes. Generally speaking, being outdoors is a safe environment.

It’s like Ben Nevis and Scafell, in that it’s the highest peak and people want to do it for that reason alone.

The flip side is that the likes of Snowdon almost single handily supports the local economy.

Maybe people have had enough of living like this when there seems to be no end to it all and they feel that carrying on as normal is worth the ‘risk’ as over 95% will either not have symptoms or have a mild case of it and be in bed for a couple of days.

Incorrect.

USA excess deaths as of 1st of August was over 200,000.

USA confirmed covid deaths is around the 200,000 mark, and has officially overtaken the UK in deaths per million.
WTF?

Are you taking the piss?

You're both agreeing with me and disagreeing.

Lol.

There’ll be a risk but it’ll be minimised due to distance apart and good ventilation due to being outdoors. Sharing items or communal toilets may be an issue.

Alcohol will play a big factor in the cities bars etc. as inhibitions will be diminished, people will get up close, not worry about cleaning hands and sharing drinks.

Lol.

The USA official death toll from Covid stands at 209,000.

The UK official death toll is 42,000.

The excess deaths figure in the US up until the end of July was already at 200,000.

You’re simply not comparing like with like.

‘WTF Lol’

The US death toll is not that much greater than excess deaths (the stat I was using for comparison...and clearly stated I was).

You were wrong.

Again.
