If so then they currently don't have the power to arrest so that makes that line silly.

They can issue fines and as we see with all sorts of private companies, they will hand out fines as much as they can. Wonderful.

I say all this as someone who has been the park once since probably last year and has met up with 6 or more people 0 times as well.

Why weren't these measures put in place back in march and continuously enforced?

Silly me, I thought this no more than 6 applied to indoors. Nope , it's outdoors.

So genuine question , how are the police going to arrest 7 people in a group in a park? And then the next 7 , and the next 7? How does that work? What constitutes an arrest situation?

What if another group is near you and it looks like you are all together? Do you all get arrested for that?

I mean they are literally saying it's against the law now. Yet if you were all 1 metre apart wearing masks in the outdoors then there is no issue because that is the guidelines?

Why can those 6 then go into work and be around tens of other people? Go shopping and be around 50 plus people indoors who clearly depending on where you live may not be wearing masks.

In fact walk through town and there are hundreds all together mostly not wearing masks.


So it's illegal for 7 to meet outdoors in the park but fine for a hundred people to walk through a city centre without any precautions?

In theory yes. But if it's a private company supplying the staff to be covid Marshall's then as we have seen with the smoking officers , they are power hungry and will be throwing fines everywhere they can given half the chance. Which sounds like a major overreaction but it genuinely happened whilst they were on the street.

How do you disprove a fine as well, prove you don't know the other people near you?

I see the oxford vaccine caused an adverse reaction to someone.

Makes me hesitant to get it if they are rushing it through tbh.

I can see these being enforceable though with plenty of stories online once in effect of fines just being handed out incorrectly. It's clearly going to be a half arsed system that is set up to deal with it just like everything else that has been set up since march.

It just annoys me now all of these ridiculous restrictions. I have no issue with measures being in place for the foreseeable with the mindset of protecting people. I don't think we should all be back to 'normal' for a while. Just make some logical sense please for once. Cases are only rising because we were told to all go out again and return to work. That's literally the scenario, go out everyone, oh wait cases are rising again.......
