All settings - 138 the total for the day, up 127 on yesterday but down 17 on last week. The 7 day rolling average falls to 82.43 with the earlier hospital figure bringing that average down to an even 27

Ive seen a few people say "we haven't seen an increase after the protests and the like".

But the numbers are hardly falling drastically like they did in France, Germany and Spain.

As I've said, we wont have a 2nd wave, cos the 1st wave will never end.

Latest ONS stats on deaths came out today ( yes, I know it's morbid ).
Overall, deaths for week ending 3rd July were marginally ( by 74 ) below average

So far, there's no indication that we're going to see large numbers of below average deaths to "compensate" ( horrible word for it, but I can't think of a better one ) for the massive excess deaths we've seen recently.

So far at least, that means there's nothing to suggest that the majority of those dying with COVID would have died soon anyway. I guess we'll only know that once we're through winter :(

I have not over eaten nor have a lifestyle related illness yet all my civil liberties have been removed.

We arent going to get anywhere with this. Just saying opposite things over and over. My opinions are clear and are essentially this: I nor anybody else should be punished cos other people make themselves seriously physically sick.
What about people with type 1 diabetes? What about people with auto-immune related diseases?

Are they also part of your untermenschen group? You need to get a grip lad as you’re coming across as a right nazi.

It’s always been prone to rise on a Tuesday because of weekend backlogs in care homes , Fridays tend to be a bit higher as well but for the rest of the week you see low numbers.

But the last time Italy for example hit the daily figure we have today was back in May.

We were meant to be 2 weeks "ahead" of them.

I just find the people who say we haven't seen an increase due to the protests, people going the beach and the pubs being open are wrong and its reflected in the small decreases we are seeing compared to countries who dealt with it properly.

Where air borne viruses and transmission is common or exposure is more likely people do wear masks, it's common place. People have been wearing them for years.

They actually don't really impede your breathing in any meaningful way for the majority of peole, but they do significantly reduce the likelihood of transmission in places where people need to share common spaces and social distancing is not easily achievable.

And, context is everything. You may not need to wear a mask normally, but it's sensible during a Pandemic.
You posted a lot of crap. Calling fat people unintelligent, belittling people with all sorts of conditions that you have no clue how they got them.

And then you talk like this? You're soft as hell if a mask causes you mental health issues and destroys your confidence. What the hell does that even mean softie?

He is in isolation from the COVID thread and will get back to you in a few

yes, Blackburn has nearly 30% population of Indian and Pakistanis. Maybe i should have said Muslims.

Point still stands, being from the area it's not surprising for reasons already given.

Friend of me mum's used to refer to anyone of Indian sub-continent origin ( Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani , Sri Lankan ... ) as Pakistanis. She didn't use the "tanis" part like, and, to be fair to her, she meant no harm.

It's weird to see the generalisation still being used today by more enlightened folk.
