It's plateaued. The number of daily deaths / rolling average aren't going to go down to the levels of other European countries.

It plateaued on the all settings about a month/6 weeks ago, staying in the 140-150 bracket, the average has dropped every day this week, was only Monday/Tuesday it was around 130ish, could be around 90-95 after Monday

The worry that it could rise now that the leisure and hospitality sectors are beginning their phases of reopening, but we were told this in May for the VE celebrations and the later Bank Holiday when people were swarming beaches, then again with the BLM protests but as yet we are yet to see that reflected

All settings figure - 67, down 70 on yesterday and 33 down on last Saturday. This brings the 7 day rolling average down into double digits at 97.71 with the earlier hospital total bringing it’s rolling average down to 39.57. The averages now work out at just under 14 a day in all settings and 5-6 in hospitals
Rolling 7 day average down to 2 figures is a milestone. It's been a long time coming, is still too high, but nevertheless it's still good to see the reduction

ICU/medics in general, in Cheltenham and Gloucester hospitals were put on stand by for an expected spike on 1st June. Just didnt happen. But we cannot afford to be complacent.

So you accept we are not seeing 137 deaths a day then? Which is what you were banging on about earlier.

That said, I do share your concern about the bellendery of the UK population to make this worse unless everyone is careful.
Was I?

I said 137 were announced as dead yesterday.

The average is way above any comparable European country, and the totals will be being added to as we speak as the pubs and restaurants and other incubators are now in play again.

A country that's been baked in neo-liberalism for 4 decades cant handle this...just like the other basket case neo-liberal society, the US.

154 Covid19 deaths in the UK yesterday.

Independence Day today.

"Announced". And it was 154. My bad.

Experience so far, social distancing and restrictions are lax to say the least.

Groups of ten lads sat on a table shoulder to shoulder, no sanitiser in toilets, people on the tube and in stations with no masks. Servers in pubs with no masks on.

No ones been arsed for weeks though.

Cummings did what he did, the BLM protests were all but celebrated by politicians, at that point the lockdown was over.

All that's changed is people can ignore lockdown rules with a pint now.

I think a lot of people have been and still are arsed mate.

Still believe the silent majority are taking notice of the rules.

The Lib Dem’s arsehole Ed Davey......”The acting leader of the Liberal Democrats, Sir Ed Davey, has written to Kent Police asking them to investigate whether Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage has broken coronavirus quarantine rules.”

Meanwhile Farage has pointed out the timing, and also the fact he has been tested negative. Politics is one thing but being a complete tosser like Davey is another. I just hope that this bites him on the arse either now or in the future.....

Testing negative doesn’t exempt you from the rules.

There's clear evidence on the pillocks own twitter which demonstrates he's short of 14 days. Pigs the lot of them.
