As @davek says, a typical Spaniard might be a bit wary of opening the doors to a population still going through the first cycle. Imagine if we suddenly said to China to come over here for a holiday, I’d be a bit nervous for sure.....

again pete I refer you to my reply the other day , yesterday I think , he often makes points I don’t disagree with but you don’t have to group people together as ‘scallies ‘ or ‘scum’ to do so . I think it’s possible but it’s also worth keeping in mind that people have been landing in the Uk without restrictions for a while . Admittedly not in huge number but a friend of mine had to return from the US and did so without any issue or quarantine demand , although the us airport and plane were empty .

there may be demonstrations but I’m unsure because despite attempts by some the response to open , although Hugely limited , travel into the UK even from hotspots was minimal.
