I think it's a clever ploy. Whilst other nations are on the verge of collapse during the second wave, the UK will swoop right in and the Empire will rise again.

Went to my local parade of shops earlier instead of the big supermarkets & managed to get amongst other things, pasta, long life milk,part baked baguettes, cereal, bleach & some tins of things. Go support your small local businesses as they could probably do with it. They even had Tangy Toms which are in my opinion god tier maize based snacks. Not had a bag in years & i don't even believe in god. I now want my next favourite of Spicy Bikers. Eyeing up a case of them on Ebay as we speak. Thinking of trying to survive all this on Transformer Snack sandwiches now....

If we are going back to history of what worked in past disease outbreaks this might be a less draconian approach than herd immunity

I was born in 1991 why would I need a vaccination for an eradicated disease done so via innoculating the masses in the 70's?
