You can blame anyone you like for the spread of this virus, goverments and politicians alike. Imo the biggest culprits are us, the general public. For the 2nd week running had an arguement with a shopper at my local Asda. Last week a woman with her 14/15 yr old daughter, went through the no entry signs and not following the arrows. Her answer when I questioned her ' I cant read' which her daughter thought was hilarious and started taking the p**s cos I followed the arrows etc. Today same thing happened with a bloke in his 60s, I guess, did exactly the same. Again I told him and his answer' oh I dont follow them' ffs. My answer was' you fooking should or you might catch it' didnt bother him at all. Rant over, sorry.
I think the majority of people have behaved admirably and done the best that they can. There's always a few exceptions to the rule.

Agree with all that. Particularly that relating to learning from other nations who have already opened up their schools.

In particular there were schools in Finland and France that found out there were children who had the virus when the schools re-opened. That was around 2 weeks ago so they should have the results of tests on other children and adults they came into contact with.

210 hospital deaths announced by the NHS today, up 58 on yesterday, 2 down on last Wednesday. 179 were in English hospitals, up 36 on yesterday, down 4 on last week with 112 happening in the last 10 days

Also apparently Spain removed 2000 deaths off their total on May 27th for some mysterious reason

This is spot on, regardless of what the goverment say or do we can help ourselves, but too many are choosing not to.

This is what New Brighton and Crosby/Formby has been like

Laughing at the captions rather than the crowded beach by the way.

Guessing from the scenery that is somewhere in Kent or East Sussex. If I saw crowds like that we'd just drive on and go somewhere else. Whether we're in the middle of a viral epidemic or not. We absolutely love the beach and swimming in the sea, but we also like our own personal space. That's ridiculous and you can't blame the camera angle either.

By contrast yesterday, we were at Porthminster Beach in St Ives, an easily accessible town beach that is literally like being in the Caribbean. The beach wasn't exactly empty but we were still able to socially distance at least 10/20m from others. We had a lovely swim and saw our first jelly fish and seals of the season. We were more in danger from the local gulls who somehow managed to attack my wife's pasty whilst she was actually eating it. ;)

Durdle Door.
Spent lots of my childhood holidays there. Lovely place when not full of bellends

Been there myself Legs. Stayed at the caravan site there and also stayed next door at Lulworth Cove and walked over the head a few times.

I didn't recognise the beach from that angle and the white cliffs in the distance put me off too.

Whenever I've been there dickheads have been jumping off the arch.

The beach at the far end seems to have become smaller since I used to go. Don’t know if that is from a difference in childhood perspective or erosion - it sure seemed bigger when I had to carry a dog and a heavy backpack along it!

Any back on topic - not a place I would even think about going to during a pandemic as trail up and down impossible to avoid others many of them panting from exertion from the gradient.

I think you're a bit confused here about what it is we differ on.
Not really Dave, you claimed THE REASON why there was a higher death rate among BAME staff was racism and completely dismissed again other possible link other than 'Cos they're poor.'

You're now trying to walk it back because you've been made to look a tit.

Again,
Where are BAME employees more likely to work? Cities where they have a high viral load or rural areas where there haven’t been many outbreaks?

Why did more BAME employees put the increased mortality rate of the virus down to health conditions as opposed to the racism which you claim is the major driver?
