I saw on Twitter that he has an autistic child and that's why he needed to be near his parents
Not sure how much, if any, of that is true, but I guess we'll find out soon enough
Last week, my other half spent a day talking to the woman of two children who have life limiting conditions, she's a single mother and her children require physical intervention, medical intervention and on a fairly regular basis attack her inadvertently.
Her parents usually help her, but as a result of lockdown, the need to visit them is not an option, neither are outreach or short breaks/respite care.
She suggested a number of times that she was considering taking her, and possibly the lives of her children, because she couldn't get help.
I cannot imagine what message 'you should've cared as much for your child as I do' will do in that circumstance.
