Think this myself mate. Boris came out the woodwork yesterday too do the normal daily update and to give his full backing to Cummings. Cummings doing this today is probably because Boris told him to get out there to show a united front and that they won't be pushed around by the media etc.

I did. Here's why: I rode at least 3/4 metre's away from other people at all times when I encountered them; I had two neck warmers pulled up over my mouth and nose: I wore a pair of gloves.

I enjoyed the ride because it gave me exercise and endangered no one else...which gave me a glow.

Tbh this is the key issue. That’s what they believe.

He won't resign. Not a chance. They'll do what Trump does, deny any wrong doing, they'll slate the press. It'll be old news by time the next election comes around.

If he doesn't resign, then Cummings will more then likely quote the legislation about 'vulnerable' and 'child care'. Then play around with the dates and days, and say he came out of his 14 day isolation on 11th April.

No chance he will resign. I'm expecting messages from Cabinet members and Tory MP's afterwards saying how courageous he was, acted with dignity, good to see him apologise//recognise how his actions look, we can now draw a line under this unfortunate incident involving a good father who made the best decision he could whilst under the most unbearable pressure.

I hope the media have exact dates and have prepared answers to his inevitable excuses.

They need to keep the questions short and if he avoids answering one, the next reporter needs to ask the same one and keep going until he does.
