Yougov seems to say otherwise mate. Con voters think he's in the wrong for the 1st one by a measure of 2-1.

The Tories have managed this awfully. I'm sure you've given advice in your career. Sometimes you don't pour petrol on the fire, you apologise, resign, keep your head down for a bit and come back when the narrative has moved on. You know when to go on the offensive, and this seems a bad time to do so.

The contagion seems to be spreading.

It killed Blair though didn't it? Labour won 1 more election, with a massively reduced majority. I mean he paid at the ballot box. This will obviously not be as significant as an illegal War, but it won't help. If you're an MP I'd be very nervous with Cummings. He seems to want to be the story. Actually, the YouGov poll, which was carried out before info came out about the second trip, showed Tory voters were pretty much split down the middle as to whether he should resign.

He has to go. Clearly thinks normal rules don’t apply to him and that he’s largely superior to others. I’ve got friends who’ve not been able to go to relative’s funerals stuck in pokey little flats whilst he’s travelling the length of the country whilst his wife is showing symptoms. Imagine more of this will come out. The cover story that he was doing this for his kid is deplorable.
Anyone defending him are blinded by loyalty to the Tories and brexit.

It amazes me how the 'normal' everyday people just dont know what he's (Cummings) up to behind the scenes or just dont care. But this really seems to have struck a cord with so many people as most of us have been stuck at home, with children or alone, not seeing parents, children, friends etc and its been a diffucult time. A lot of people also know or have heard of someone who has had it and been hospitalised or died.

Normally the revelations about this government just get overlooked but I think this one wont just go away - fingers crossed action of some form is taken.

He is not stupid, but he is immensely powerful within the government, dictating most government policy, hiring and firing cabinet ministers behind their backs, so he probably feels untouchable, and I reckon that sadly, he probably is.

I think the question here is - do Murdoch, Barclay Bros etc think he's untouchable? They wouldn't care if he kicked off with the dirt. Might even sell a few more papers.

The thing I find the most disturbing and downright creepy are the collective copycat tweets by cabinet ministers rushing to the defence of Cummings. Scientology seems more legitimate than this bizarre Tory cult.

Just been 'introduced' to Matthew Syed on Sky News. Read about the weapon on GOT but had never seen him. What an absolute fraud. If, if, if, if, if it's shown that Cummings did this (it will all be revealed by a public enquiry)................. Matthew, you plank, he did. I know it, you know it, we all know it. We don't need to waste even more taxpayer's money.

I just can't understand their (Tory sheep) attitude and contempt of the average person of this country. I'm sure that some on here (Tory sheep) that will either help me understand or if they can't will add a few ........ to the end of their posts.

I'm not sure that I'm happy being considered as a subject of any Government. Particularly Trump mark II's.

Different one to me then.I do repairs to plant hire machinery on site in April idid about 20% of usual. In may im working at about 50% .Up until this week nearly every site i went on was practically deserted.
So from my experience it definitely slowed down to near nothing in April to slowly getting back to something like normality fir me now.
But know people still not back and some ground workers who have been finished.One ground works company had 120 men on site before this now only have 40 all self employed as yet no sign of going back.

Not trying to argue as each experience is different but the sites up and down the UK my company works with have not slowed at all.
