So it's just 12 million people over 65 that need to worry then?

That's ok then, I thought there was a lot of people in the UK facing death and extreme ill health from Covid19.

Thank goodness for perspective.

I've tried to give a balanced post not an essay itemising everything, I've posted yesterday on it being nasty and unpleasant - it's not something you want to catch and it's not a massive stroke, serious heart disease or cancer either.

There are vulnerable groups where the risk is far far higher - but this is all repetition

- this is my last reply to anything from you.

I'm very suspicious of these people. Obvioulsy there are (non-sinister) posters on this forum who are just influenced by the Cold War propaganda against China and all things Chinese, but there are others (not just on this forum but all over social media) who are here to influence and sway opinion in relation to that Cold War - shills who have their origins goodness only knows where. I think I know who those particular posters are and who are just the ordinary forum members who shoot from the hip on the subject.

Don't hear the blame game of the various influenza viruses that jump out of intensive animal farming...

Like many we have all become a little more aware of viruses. And reading and watching, it was obvious this going to happen and the world was being warned by various experts for some years. Some countries heeded and were better prepared...

I've sat and endured many of the COVID briefings, often they put out, we will get this wrong at times it's an unknown virus etc. However, the Chinease dealing with this month's earlier right at the coal face are not afforded the same grace on the virus... If that's not at best subconscious racism don't know what is.

Just check the IPS, and as long as they dont swear, or have a user name like StevieG or CarraLad, we are like the testing at Heathrow basically.

We could all be infected.
Just saw the testing at a Ford plant on telly.
The camera temperature checks etc.
Clever stuff.
Some folk will make a fortune out of some of this kit going forward and fair play to them.

Just seen the Eat Your Knob thread title.

That scares and intrigues me. Reckon I will stay here. It feels safer .
I'm torn between watching Only Fools - Jolly boys outing on Gold at 6.30 or waiting to watch Boris.
Strange old Sunday this.

Ashame but this virus takes no prisoners ..... this age thing etc is sometimes flawed the young nurses working on the coal face of the ITCU etc mid age end up dying - yes the OAP,s are more vulnerable, but it seems to affect any age if exposure is passed on...

People of all ages are dying but i watched sir david spiegelhalter considered time be amongst the top statistical expert discuss figures this morning .

Of freely available data , obviously not daily updated figures , out of 10m under 15’s 2 had died and from 17m under 25’s 26 had died many with underlying health conditions . The bloke wasn’t seeking to undermine risk but presenting an accurate , according to him , assessment of the figures . The professors argument was that this is primarily a disease that kills the over 70’s and over 75’s . So yes it effected a huge range of people but that was the data he was quoting . What was a Shocking is in 4 weeks it’s killed 1% of the countries 90 year olds who face a risk 10,000 times greater than the youngsters apparently .

(I made notes of the actual figures he quoted as my memory isn’t the best )

Well, Millionaire is on at 7.00, after Boris more likely. Then that ace programme about monkeys on BBC1. Curry from the takeaway in the fridge.

Sound as.

What I dont get is why is it okay for the likes of Italy, France, Spain and large parts of the world to start easing lockdown measures but when we do it Karen gobs off on twitter?

Said it before but our media has played a massive part in this - done nothing for the past 7 weeks than scare the hell out of people with tales of 20 year olds dying of COVID-19 and ethnic minorities under siege and now every bugger is scared senseless of slowly easing measures.

Also a large portion of lazy gets who are furloughed just dont want to go back to work imo - the amount of people living comfortably on the 80% whilst drinking peroni in their garden every day of the week having BBQ's like its an extended summer holiday is hilarious - get them back grafting Boris lad especially those who cut peoples hair for a living.
The FT has a very good graphic where you can compare the average rolling 7 day new infections numbers for any countries you want. Looking at this, the curves for Germany, Italy, France and Spain are all on a downward trajectory. The UK's isn't. It has flat-lined for a while now. Until it shows a definite downward trend there is no data based reason to significantly alter the lock-down.

Anyone who is still defending the UK government's reaction to the virus has clearly lost the argument.

Anyone who isn't aware that the CCP engaged in a massive cover up when the first cases appeared as early as November is also onto a loss.
