Fair play.

I don't think you're following this. lol I even told you to work on the assumption that there have been nearly no deaths from flu. Even if there were not, and you tripled the death toll from coronavirus, you'd end up with them being around the same absolute value. And I'm saying, that is not worthy of the reaction the country has made.No you can answer your assumption, do you think in the last 12 days (days you deliberately missed off from your data) there have been three times as many deaths from influenza as there have been from COVID 19? because that is absolutely what you were insinuating, and if you move the goalposts around again I'm just going to get bored and ignore you

A state of privileged seclusion or separation from the facts and practicalities of the real world. Many in academia suffer from this. Not really sure what you’re on about here tbh.
The discussion was about whether you can buy healthy food on a budget, you obviously can.
Ivory tower ? Don’t get it.
Yeah, you know that flu deaths are still occuring, right, and not just coronavirus deaths, right? And there's no evidence that the lockdown is having much effect. lolYou know why we have a lockdown, right?

Uh, what? That makes no sense. Is the health service completely overwhelmed by a virus many times more contagious than flu spreading unchecked? Then i think you can say it's working.

There is an assumption everyone is equal, perhaps an unconscious bias, however, I'm not convinced it is. Indeed, even to afford discount frozen food requires significant outlay and set of circumstances to allow frozen food to be stored at home, which all contribute to a significant increase in cost.

Go on then, I'm listening. That’s patently untrue...

And for the record, 'because that is absolutely what you were insinuating'... not it absolutely wasn't what i was insinuating. lol lol lol
Oh and by the way if you triple the official hospitalised COVID 19 deaths (not the 12 day old figure you deliberately gave) you get 54,000, is that 'about' the same as 32,000?Going purely from the absolute numbers, it's not even the same as the flu right now. The flu has killed 3x more people than coronavirus this year, and the government has put us in lockdown. 11 people under the age of 45 have died of coronavirus. Just 11. And most if not all of those had preexisting conditions.
And for those interested in the effectiveness of the lockdown, this is a good read https://www.spiked-online.com/2020/04/22/there-is-no-empirical-evidence-for-these-lockdowns/
Like I've already said, I reckon history will look back and wonder why we reacted so bizarrely. I'm almost certain of it.
Uh, what? That makes no sense.
"Oh, if you triple this other number instead, then it's more." lol The whole point of tripling was to make up for the last 10-12 days rofl. You're just taking liberties with my generosity now.Oh and by the way if you triple the official hospitalised COVID 19 deaths (not the 12 day old figure you deliberately gave) you get 54,000, is that 'about' the same as 32,000?
