Current Affairs Coronavirus Thread - Serious stuff !!!

It was on the news today, BBC or ITV, Trump is blaming the WHO when his own intelligence services briefed him about the threat Covid posed in November.

Problem is Trump thinks he's more clever than all his intelligence services and any US doctors or scientists too, he wanted churches open for Easter Sunday, said they'd be over the worst by then, he said that about 3 weeks ago.

It's still an incredible thing he is actually the president, I'm still speechless he was appointed.

The words "Trump" and "intelligence" sit uncomfortably in the same sentence don't they.

Not good enough

That was my point though - The current lockdown is just instructions from the government - The success of it lies upon the individual and they way each individual handles their responsibilities

The country isn't going to be closed one day and then open again the next - Both businesses and individuals will have to be responsible for a phased return to normality

Its uusally on the door in a public building no it was all obvoios question but not yet imo .....he has permission to speak directly to the Chief Medical officer from Boris ....
He should have the sense to know we are not at that stage yet , and circumstances in the future will determine that plan, not now......

Yep an exit is normally obvious isn’t it ?

I’d suggest though you want to know the exit before you start not to think about it halfway in . Some of our countries Foreign policies should have taught us that .

They can at least control the number of people walking through the doors though

Things like sporting events and gigs :( will be the last to open

Not a chance mate, the rag arse pubs across the whole country would just totally ignore it and within hours everyone would know which pubs were just letting anyone in and pile into them.

Then you have the pubs in tourist areas, where there would be queues outside waiting for people to leave, so they could go in.

It`s all or nothing with the pubs I`m afraid and it pains me to say that as a regular pub goer.

Keir Starmer stated last night it will a long time before a football will be kicked professionally on Peston ITV ....

It is law but the are a few cases of being stopped and fined have already been overturned as the law parliment made lacked clarity..........
