ICU doesnt always mean a patient is in danger. It means the care they need is more, well, intensive, than a normal ward. Or their condition is unusual, and until they know why sommet happened, or are happy patient is on the mend, the intensive care remains.

If they called them Intensive Observation Units, I think folk would understand the reality of what most patients are in them for.

Mate, you and I know well enough that what Johnson has been going through is being repeated x hundreds of thousands up and down the country. A tiny fraction will end up in ICU.

Just to reiterate: not symptomatic of pneumonia; never in any need of a ventilator. Just keep those FACTS in mind.

The facts are straight forward.

He had symptoms of CV, so isolated. The medical folk say after 7 days most get by ok. He didnt, condition worsened suddenly. Thats unusual, hence ICU.

That could have been administered at Downing St. We KNOW because we've been told, that Johnson has not had, and does not have, the symptoms of pneumonia. He does not require anything other than a nebuliser.

So let me get this right.

He`s being allowed to " hide " in an intensive care bed, with the full permission of all the medical staff, plus his police personal protection officers who will have to be there too, at a time of national emergency, all so he can use a piece of breathing equipment, that can be safely used at home by everyone else.

Not really. He didnt follow the usual CV infection prognosis. So ICU to see why not, and monitor while they figure it out/he gets better.
