The worst thing about this virus was the seeming refusal from many to take it seriously when it was clear as day that this was going to cause unimaginable disruption right from the get go. The WHO and its collusion with the CCP didn't help matters of course, but that's only one part of the story. It certainly doesn't excuse western governments for allowing flights from China - with the exception of the US of course but by then it was already too late.

I think a big boo boo was telling everyone it only affects you if your old and frail early on. Gave lots of idiots a sense of invincibility that it would not effect them so F everyone else, I'll carry on as normal.

The viral load theory is really interesting. Would help explain why nurses/doctors and some young people are developing severe symptoms and even dying. Possibly genetics also playing a role which is a theory that's being strongly championed.
