Yeah that's crazy money. No wonder so many in the US can't afford health insurance. Feel so sorry for them.
My sister was a bar manager on long island
4X10 hr shifts a week and she would come out with a few dollars pay after taxes and medical insurance came out
Her employer paid a bit of it too
Basically lived on her tips (which were good ) but the health insurance was a hell of a lot

I've got zero science to back this up but Med countries all seem very handsy and huggy and very warm welcoming people which surely must help spread a virus faster than the more conservative Asian populations.
I know you ain't basing it on science. However,in Greece we have 1544 cases with 53 dead and 91 critical. Also the main source of it,is a migrant boat and camp with 143 cases.I don't think it has anything to do with med countries being very handsy and huggy. We reacted FAST after seeing what was happening in ITALY and SPAIN.You in the UK think you are in Lock down, that is not lock down as I know it.Lock down is getting fined 150 euro for not having a form dated, timed and signed for your purpose and travel, all of which (supermarket/exercise etc)must be completed in one hour of the time stated. To me,we have got it right. This is how to beat this thing and get the planet back on track.

I mean I was only comparing Italy/Spain to China?

My Dad's cousin passed away. He was a lovely man and it's quite upsetting thinking of the lonely way to leave the world.

I'm sat here useless waiting for my missus to go into labour because I can't be with her.

This pandemic is horrible, but I think on a positive note, it makes us all realise what is actually important in life and what little things we take for granted are actually the best things about life. To me, going for a walk in Wales or the park or the match, being healthy, having food on the table, having a nice friends and family is far more important than material things.
