Why does the newspaper matter when the quotes all come from her mouth?

I mean, I don’t want to go into politics here as there’s a thread for that, and I’m certainly not gonna put Diane Abbott or Emily Thornberry on any pedestal. But, if we’re going down the “stupid quotes made by people” road, think the PM isn’t gonna fare too well.

The governments response to this pandemic has been very poor. Heads in the sand, ludicrous 'herd immunity' theory, delayed response. They had ample warning this was coming. They waited and waited and now many thousands are likely to die in a short space of time and severely overwhelm the NHS. The PPE fiasco has just been another massive error.

Anybody defending the government's response here needs to take a reality check. Boris Johnson is a laughable buffoon and has surrounded himself with equally inept individuals who just cannot seem to tell the truth. As soon as this passes they need binning off once and for all. They also need to be grilled on why they were so bad at responding to this (obviously won't be).
