Hopefully justice will catch up with this lot, and it'll have a hangman's noose in its hand.

I sense that the Tories are done with 'protection' now. They cant get political capital out of it because it merely shines a huge light on their fatally inadequate initial response, so they'll now bend to the wishes of the corporate lobby (and no doubt pressure from fellow neo-liberal nutcases in Washington who prop Trump up) to try and normalise the virus as 'just one of those things we live with'.

Listening to Nick Watt on Newsnight last night and he was saying his source in government was of the opinion that an "acceptable loss of a few score deaths per day" and a nod toward a "new normal" with certain flimsy rules was seen as the sunny uplands solution that those 'in control' are now working toward.

Chilling.

May would have been worse tbh. Her record as Home Secretary was horrific, and she had the completely negative trait of getting her head down when things got tough.
