Venezuela beating Mexico is quite something. I'd ALWAYS back the South American countries in almost any match against the North Americans, but Venezuela or Bolivia bringing off wins such as this surprises me somewhat. They're the poor relations.

Mexico are the Turkey of western hemipshere football. Lots of talent, huge egos, little genuine achievement.

Mexico always gets suckered into playing @#$% tika-taka by less talented teams and the whole result of Mexico ole'ing it around the box for 25 straight passes is a goal scoring chance for the other team.

Mex is OK enough if they can counter and they'll look alright against really good teams.

We do the same thing sometimes, like there were stretches against Bolivia where we played "hey possession!" but at least we adjusted.
