Can someone please explain to me in simple terms why a club needs to have both a Director of Football and also a Director of Football Operations? Whilst I certainly enjoyed his legendary meme status, I have often wondered whether he was actually an important figure behind the scenes or just a photo prop.
 

The one glimmer of light we had in these dark times was the hope of seeing Contract Dave’s face sat next to a new player.

Need to increase the protests. Increase the headlocks. This is a travesty and the board and owner have gone too far by allowing this to happen

Many times I've turned up to Goodison to queue for tickets to be told, "what game are you after, we've got em all..."

Then the big steward with the dyed black hair, (it was rumoured he was Eddie Kavanghs son) would shout him over, then he'd come waddling after you telling you that they were indeed on sale....

Last time I seen him he was bald as carsley.

Hadn’t seen him since pre covid,funnily enough think it was a couple of games ago I was walking up spellow lane by that Everton hub and there was a steward outside showing a few people around who was a ringer for the ledge😀
