If I were in charge of Everton I'd go for Martin O'Neill. But I'm not.

Thank **** you're not

Yeah Moyes did look abit flat this season, he desire is now back and will do very well, there no question about that cos he class and is the real deal but he will have a hard time winning the league if Chelsea hire Jose cos he is better.

I can be Moyes' harshest critic, and his flaws are clear to see. I never thought he'd get one of the biggest jobs in world football because of those flaws.

But the most successful English manager in the history of the game has said he's the man.... I can't really argue with him

he's probably be last on my list, 100% dead serious. He's lost his charisma he used to have; would honestly rather have Rafael

I'm numb right now. We needed Moyes at the helm with new owners prepared to invest cash. Now we are certain to get a manager less capable than Moyes with the same lackluster bunch on the board. I can't help but have that 'party is over' feeling. I hope Kenwright and his fellow chums do as Manu have done, and appoint a manager who will seamlessly slip into Moyes's role at Everton. And there is the problem. I have absolutely no faith that they will do such a thing. What I fear isthey will bring someone in who will undo the last 11 years in a short space of time, that will be criminal. Gutted!

I will add, I hope they appoint from within.

O'Neill? Fully agree with you if so. His sides play dire football and his signing in recent times have been shocking (Stephen Fletcher aside).

Thing is mate those are some hard boots fill; there are no managers available who are as good as moyes or at least offer the stability that he was capable of. Whoever they get in is going to be a gamble

Wish you all the best, Mr. Moyes.

Thanks for wondeful time at Goodison, thanks for all great games, huge wins, and for few heartbreaking losses.

Have a nice spell at United and, if we ever met in some cup final, let us win it!

I agree, whoever they get in will be a gamble, but preserving the legacy Moyes built has to be the numero uno prerequisite going forward.

What happens when they appoint Round as "interim coach" and neville joins the staff in the summer?

...because tbh I dont see our board getting this right.

I don't want another 11 years of the same, thanks for steadying the ship Dave but we move on. He's known about this being a possibility for months and has strung us all along, and yet we're all supposed to lay palm leaves at his feet on sunday. I'd have preferred to see someone like Sheedy in charge for the last 2 games. We need to win on Saturday and I'm concerned the Moyssiah fapfest is going to give the S**te a chance to sneak past us.

I fear we'll look back on this day as the day it started to go pear.

I have grave reservations about the future for the club, as we've lost the best asset the club had imo. Now we're left with the hapless Kenwright to find & attract a successor to take over a budget of peanuts with an expectation of consistently making a silk purse out a sows ear.

I wish Moyes all the best & hope it works out for him at OT, but he should be going now, not in a few weeks time (probably a result of Kenwright trying to screw a fee out of United for the 6 weeks remaining on his contract & them telling him to get ****ed - we'll wait then)

This all seems pretty surreal, used to laugh at the thought of Moyes at Utd but it's actually/finally happened!
All the best to him though, Kenwright really has to step up to the plate and hire someone who would be aiming for more than just the europa freakin' league. i.e Martinez nooooooo

look lads on the bright side we were in this situation 11 years ago and look ed what happened it was all doom and gloom then and it worked out alright in the end

these things happen life goes on i just hope we dont spend the next 11 yrs saying ...this wouldnt happened with DM or DM wouldnt have done that

Point is you can't blame the board for appointing someone who doesn't turn out to be a success; unless they pick a shocker that is.
