The media spotlight will be on Goodison on Sunday.

The sole way we can come out of this smelling of roses is if we get behind the team. Make Goodison evil and show that not one person is bigger than the club. Respect Moyes with applause but, from the very first minute, get into them.

WHAT'S OUR NAME?

Arse licking Manc loving push over FC?

Well ... thanks David. I think it's unlikely we'll be as good now without you but that's not a fact ... just an opinion. Maybe we're maybe 95%+ to get worse ... so that leaves a 5% or less chance we'll get better. Over to you BK ... AHAHHAHAH ... ::sigh::.

Should I be worried that the people telling us we'll get better now were the same people who said there was 0% chance he'd get a job with a CL club? Hopefully you are right about this one lads. Broken watch and all.

Not a happy day for me but onward and upward I guess.

He's got red hair!

People bashing him are idiots. He's acted completely within our interests despite all of this. The fact he was at our training ground, giving his input into potential signings for next season proves this. The staff at Finch Farm were convinced he wasn't leaving due to how he was conducting himself. The man is class.

If he comes back in the summer and wanna sign our best players will you still clap him? Once he is gone, he is an enemy of Everton FC.

No, it took him three years to get us from being relegation contenders to finishing in the top 8 year after year, spending practically no money.
Yeah but because we have loads of history that made the job dead easy and he barely had to lift a finger though.

Sad to see him go. But upwards and onwards. Fear could turn into excitment very quickly if Laudrup was named. But straight back to fear if Hughes. After being so stable for the last decade. It could so go either way. Very hard to have faith in the board to bring in the right man. Gonna be very uneasy til someone is announced.

He should get that as United manager next season, not as our manager, were Everton, he has had us bent over for 18 months and took the pisses and lied to the fans the last few months. He done a good job, but with the good squad he left us with HE should of done better. It's an absolute disgrace to the once mighty EFC that he will be in our dugout Sunday when he doesn't want to manage us.

So as Everton manager he shouldn't get applauded but as United manager he should?
Seriously, this whole bizarre trail of thought is actually starting to gain some ground in this small section of the fan base and it is the most stupid thing I have ever heard from a set of fans.
Trying to reinforce it with the words like disgrace, embarrassment and kneeling before United doens't make it any less farcical. Anyone who doesn't appreciate what Moyes has done for us and is unwilling to show it before he goes is a massive idiot.
Anyone who thinks it makes more sense to show our feelings next season when he returns than it does whilst he's still here is just too far out there for me to comprehend. Still each to their own.

The statement says the Toffees will "start the search for a replacement manager immediately".

He states he has the desire to manage Man U - our club says he is leaving at the end of this season any decent chairman would pay him off & let Round & Stubbs manage the last 2 games, how can DM heart be in it! Its a shambles the EFC way or the BK way, BK please let go of you tenure now & find a buyer not investment!

I'm sorry but I think that's just proof that he kept the entire thing under wraps so it could be done as quickly and painlessly as possible. The truth of the matter is we have now lost our manager to the biggest football franchise in the world for a grand total of £0.00. Moyes surely knew what he was doing by letting his contract run down.

I have no ill will toward him. He did a decent job (although we were all beaten over the head a bit too much with how much of a decent job he'd done). Not arsed he's gone though. Only the replacement concerns me. I can easily see these clowns handing it to a complete ****ing idiot who'll bury us in two seasons.

Well, we enter into the unknown now. I know the history, but anyone who thinks about this logically knows the situation and knows that it will be very hard to duplicate his record with the financial insecurity of the club. We can harp on all the success this club has had in the past, it's irrelevant given the financial limitations we currently are under.

The man is not infallible, certainly mistakes were made. But anyone hired will make mistakes, the end result will be difficult to duplicate.
