The most important thing is getting a new start Moyes did ok for a few years but it's been the same predictable failures year after year with too many morphing into Sons of Kenwright with excuses at every turn just because we're 7th.

Fresh start with a new face will at least break up the Moyes/Kenwright mutual admiration society which is by far the most damaging thing at the club.

Rafael fact - the vast majority of the league have more money to buy and pay players then we do.

Rafael fact - the more money you have to buy and pay players the better players you can get

Rafael fact - the better players you get, the better you are as a team

Rafael fact - When more than half the league are spending more money than you, it makes success hard

Just on paying the clubs that pay more wages than us they often pay huge amounts more but we probably pay higher wages than a lot of the clubs beneath us. Which is why no way were the likes of yobo going to move in the prem , once the 'big' clubs didn't want him here abroad was the only place he was going. I realise obviously the like of QPR are paying huge money but I mean 'generally'

Based on what?

This isn't the thread for it really but I would be happy to see him in our dugout fighting and snarling for the Blue cause. He doesnt do it in a snidey way - just good old fashioned passion.

I've also put a large bet on him becoming our next manager some time back so that may also affect matters!!

I really hope we don't get neil lennon.

Based on what?

I echo these thoughts , the bloke is considerably less succesful than the likes of Walter and we know how much we'd want him back !

If the poster is basing it on a 'cup shock ' result on the break against Barcelona when the Spanish side absolutely hammered them we may as well go for Parkinson or dickov.

edit -

I've also put a large bet on him becoming our next manager some time back so that may also affect matters!!

Ah now it makes sense mate

Neil Lennon, oh dear.

Fans putting large bets on the next manager are going to find themselves standing in ripped up bets at their feet.

Fair enough. I do like that side of him to an extent. About the only redeeming feature I've seen.

...

Can you explain how, when Moyes is that a**e, gets so much wrong and plays the wrong players with the wrong tactics, always negative, wrong defense etc... we are fighting for a CL spot against some of the richest clubs in world football?

Are all these other world renowned managers actually so much worse than the shockingly awful David Moyes, that even spending hundreds of millions of pounds doesn't drag them away from being in a fight with such a terrible manager? Does that mean that Moyes is in fact good in comparison to these awful managers yet still utterly incompetent, but they are in fact sunday league level?... Benitez, Mancini? They are both widely renowned for being shoite. Even Wenger hasn't been that great the last few yrs. So that only leaves AF and AVB from the teams above us who are better. And good compared to awful is hardly a glowing endorsement. But pretty sure no one said he is incompetent.

Perhaps only losing 5 games in the league all season is good Yep
Perhaps getting results against United, Arsenal, Spurs, Liverpool and City is good Yep
Perhaps buying the likes of Coleman, Mirallas, Fellaini, Baines, Jagielka with a spend of fk all is actually good Yep
Perhaps the myth of him not playing youth and the myth of him ruining strikers every pre season can be countered by the same man... Anichebe! Who is now good, who wasn't sold when everyone wanted him sold... which is good. One exception doesn't disprove the rule, and whilst Victor has been playing well, how 'good' he is is still up for debate.
Perhaps the negative sub of bringing on Heittinga against Bolton as they walked through our defenseless midfield, despite the boo's, was good, and not just because he scored the winner See above
Perhaps... he's better than you think... Perhaps he's actually..well.... good. No one's really saying he isn't. Just that he isn't good enough.
Most of his results would say so. Dunno just throwing it out there, he's clearly rubbish by your post, just the fighting for champions league makes me wonder if there is a chance you are perhaps... I dunno... wrong? Nope.

Wigan still sucks though.

Can != Do. Just because clubs have more money doesn't mean they have a better team.

Disagree there mate, I think he is an utter bell, with the easiest job in the world right now, would hate us to get the poisonous little ginge

Of course not. Moyes has managed to build one of the best teams in the country on bugger all spend.

It is absoloutly to his shame that he has failed to achieve anything tangiable with that team. We have been good enough to win a trophy for at least seven years.

And that's the main reason he should leave. Because frankly he's not good enough if he can't do better in the cups with this team than he has.
