More importantly fella, they didn't have the quality. The tenacity you mentioned was drained out of them, due to them chasing shadows since we scored the second. At this level (Martinez lovers will like this) you need possession to control the game and it's tempo. We had an extra days rest, but it didn't look like it, they controlled much of the match it was more through good fortune we managed to get through to penalties, but alas even with Pickford in goal, the inevitable happened. Germany v Spain (as I expect them to win) will be a good final.
On another note how impressive was the German right back - toljan, would love us to buy him as back up to Coleman.

Rashford and Tom Davies would have made a massive difference to the overall quality within the side. Whether their future development is better served having a rest this summer, sat at home watching the finals, rather than playing in it, is open to debate!

That Abraham has been absolute toilet, made up we didn't even consider him as an option. He would have made a superb whipping boy maybe the best ever

...a lot has happened to Davies in a short space of time, probably better for him to have a chill. I suspect he won't have had many summers off.

That nation just has a continuous conveyer belt of talent coming through. I bet most are regulars in the bundesliga which of course aids their development. Some rich pickings in that squad starting with Meyer in midfield and toljan at full back.

Defo mate, most of the u21 lads will be totally passed over. You could tell in the games against Sweden and the first half against Slovakia they didn't have what it took. They did well just to scrape through to penalties in fairness.
