I don't have a special seat, im just using office chair with its casters replaced with rubber ones so it doesn't move when I brake heavily.

And then their table clamp to clamp it onto a desk. It's about £1000ish in total I think which is a lot for someone buying their first racing setup but is peanuts compared to my previous rig a few years back.
For first time buyer id suggest getting something like a thrustmaster setup or even just the bog standard Logitech G29. The pedals are the main problem with low end wheels but you can always upgrade them at later date if you want. You don't need good gear to be fast, it just makes everything feel better/more realistic... lots of people set world records with cheap ass gear that's 10+ years old.
If you want to have proper clean/realistic racing you'll find it a lot easier on PC, there are still wasters in unregulated public lobbies like ACC etc but it's nowhere near the level you get on console. The choice/standard of driving games goes up greatly as well when you switch to PC.
