Computer games.

Would echo what @navidson said, Control is brilliant. Well worth playing if you haven't already. Felt very original which is increasingly hard to find these days.

I played Doom Eternal and I wasn't a massive fan but purely as it isn't my type of game. Way too hectic for me. But I could tell it was a great game so if you like that style then definitely worth picking up for £18.
Picked control up on the back of the double recommendation and doom eternal as well. I'm going to go with control first as the mechanics do look very interesting.

Control is top of the range.

Don't play on PC very often, but in the past few days I blew £50 on sale titles - Hades, Amnesia Rebirth, AC Odyssey, Metro Exodus & Death Stranding - in anticipation of getting a better laptop in the early part of this year. Meanwhile, I've been enjoying the Zombies mode on Black Ops Cold War - it's part of COD I usually don't bother with, but the Jingle Hells/Die Maschine map has been good fun. For some reason, even though I'm not very good at it, I seem to get on much better in solo.

I know football sims can have a somewhat sense of unrealism to them, but even this takes the biscuit a little

And when you see the positions in the league it makes it that bit more ridiculous

Everyone knows Miller and mcwaters are the glue that hold Morton together. Take them away and its like 11 v 0.

Banged on about how fantastic this game is before, if you haven't experienced it I can't recommend it enough. Perfect paranoid claustrophobic lockdown horror game that is brilliantly designed and a real challenge - here's some gameplay from one of the most horrible sections (the medical lab)..... play with lights off and decent headphones on and you're virtually in the first movie.

GET ON IT

Enjoying ghosts of tsushima. But boy oh boy do I get burned out easy as I'm generally burned out with open world action adventures. The more I play since death stranding the more I see kojima is a visionary. You spend 80 percent your time travelling around the place to get to markers so make the travelling the core gameplay mechanic. Kojima got met with mixed reaction but that was gimps shocked that it wasn't another assassin's creed checklist orgy. A d it was something different they couldn't understand. Cause shooty bang bang stap wasn't the core mechanic.

Yeh I use wheel and pedals, it's near impossible to be competitive with a joypad in sims like iRacing, ACC, rFactor 2 etc and yeh I grazed the wall just before turn 5 but it had minimal effect on lap time luckily !
Enjoyed that!
Shame about grazing that wall, you say minimal effect but at the top of timesheets it all helps.
Keep spamming your lap vids! ;)

CD project red going full con artist really capped off a very bad year. I remember in the build up thinking that I don't like first person perspective and it'll take getting used to but I had no doubts in my head the game would be next level in immersion.

Ps2 levels and below level of open world immersion bugs aside. The lies they spun. They took shots at EA in the passed. EA do shady stuff but the game is next level con job.

I loved DS as much as the next player...but have you picked it up since?

Kojima succeeded in creating a unique and beautiful game, but it was too emotionally and physically taxing. Its bitterweet because in that respect he's only provided a one shot - one dimensional experience, and in an open world, it's a cardinal sin.
