Computer games.

There's a medieval GTA (og)-a-like that's in beta atm. Can't remember what it's called, but managed to get invited to the closed beta. Only played a bit of the tutorial so far, but seems pretty good. Funny seeing knights on horseback chasing you with blue and red lights flashing!! :D :D

Gonna spam up another hotlap video I did on iRacing the other day, 4th fastest time in the world, 0.120 off the WR

How much roughly would you say your seat/wheel set up cost?

I play GT Sport but the only races worth bothering with are the FIA affiliated events as the others have too many dirty drivers. I believe ACC is better but there’s not a very big user base on console, so I’m tempted to get a PC instead of a PS5 next.

I don't have a special seat, im just using office chair with its casters replaced with rubber ones so it doesn't move when I brake heavily.

Wheelbase: https://fanatec.com/us-en/racing-wheels-wheel-bases/wheel-bases/clubsport-wheel-base-v2.5

Rim : https://fanatec.com/us-en/steering-wheels/clubsport-steering-wheel-formula-carbon

Pedals : https://fanatec.com/us-en/pedals/csl-elite-pedals-lc

And then their table clamp to clamp it onto a desk. It's about £1000ish in total I think which is a lot for someone buying their first racing setup but is peanuts compared to my previous rig a few years back.

For first time buyer id suggest getting something like a thrustmaster setup or even just the bog standard Logitech G29. The pedals are the main problem with low end wheels but you can always upgrade them at later date if you want. You don't need good gear to be fast, it just makes everything feel better/more realistic... lots of people set world records with cheap ass gear that's 10+ years old.

If you want to have proper clean/realistic racing you'll find it a lot easier on PC, there are still wasters in unregulated public lobbies like ACC etc but it's nowhere near the level you get on console. The choice/standard of driving games goes up greatly as well when you switch to PC.

You rock TrackIR or anything for headlook???

I use mine for elite and DCS.

nah, I had triple monitor setup previously so no need for track IR then, might be handy now I’m back on a single screen though... I’ll probably just switch to VR in a few years though (the tech is still too unpolished in its current state imo)

EA have lost exclusivity over Star Wars games which is good news. First non-EA game announced. Made by the studio that made The Division 2. Is that any good? I've never played it

It's a ubisoft open world. There's been about 40 of them over the last ten year and I can't tell them apart. I'd almost prefer EA kept star wars.

Got a fair few hours in Div 2.
  • Sequential open world (unlock areas as you level up)
  • Looter/shooter
  • cover-based third-person shooter
  • Specialisations to vary play style
  • Very fun with friends/online matchmaking (+ level syncing)
  • Not too much to do on your own

Obviously not to say that it will be the same but they're pretty decent at open world games. Div 2 has bad difficulty due to how shooters handle difficulty (damage received/dealt goes up/down and thats it) so could be more interesting in Star Wars.

EA haven't lost Star Wars, just lost exclusivity. As for Ubisoft the last few Assassin's Creed games have been brilliant. However the same people aren't involved so who knows how it will be.

But from what @Zezti says and having just had a look at reviews I'm hopeful they'll be able to do something good with the Star Wars license.

Playing Watch Dogs Legion atm. What did others make of it?
I enjoyed it, thought it was more varied than the previous 2 so the missions are a lot more interesting and it doesn't turn into as much of a grind. As mentioned before in this thread, the changing characters thing is a cool idea but nothing more than a gimmick really. I very quickly settled in to using the same 2/3 characters the whole time apart from when the game requires you to use a specific one. If you aren't already then make use of a construction worker. The ability to summon a cargo drone is incredibly helpful.

To be fair, I thought 'Fallen Order' was great. If they could do something in that style only more open world, I'd be happy!

Aye I'm the same. I pretty much always go as the character I started with ha. If a character has decent skills but has an annoying voice I jib them off. Happens so often.

Story is okay so far.
