I’m seeing a certain ex forum poster this week, I’ll be sure to share this.View attachment 64300
Basically you have a front line of Morde, Darius, Leo, Sej, Braum, with a Draven in the back taking peoples faces off.
If you make it to late game add a Karthus and a Kayle for easy win, but as long as you get 3 good items on Draven and some tank items on your meat shields most games are won.
The problem comes with getting that level 2 Draven.
Yup. Makes sense.
The reason I largely play retro games.
You can't even trust a game to be as advertised anymore. Modern gaming is a joke.
People call this progress?
But why? Games are entertainment and they can add whatever they want to them. Grown man with a weird fixation on Crash Team Bandicoot Racing and 17,000 games behind him he's spend thousands and thousands of dollars on upset the company that makes the game wants to squeeze some more money out said grown weirdo?
People nowadys want all these extra goodies and think they have some divine right to everything.
Because it's predatory. Gaming used to be escapism; you bought the product and you had the full product to enjoy, to escape from every day life into a form of entertainment.
Now it's the complete opposite.
You say people "nowadays" want all these "extra goodies" - no, they simply want to be able to buy the thing as advertised. The original Crash Team Racing 20 years ago had unlockable courses, extra characters and so on - they were the advertised product. This new one? They sold it based on a lie - that there were no microtransactions - and then added them after purchase, meaning physical copies of the game should be illegal as they make no mention of in-app purchases. There's nothing "extra" in modern gaming - they've simply had features stripped away to be sold piecemeal.
I bought my brother that game, thinking it was safe from this nonsense. I was lied to. I was literally missold a product. 20 years ago, this didn't happen - the worst was you could buy a 'bad' game, that's it. This isn't progress.
also it doesnt happen in other entertainment industries - music , film and books dont try and exploit products in the same way
I think it's the fact they released the game a month ago and then decide to introduce micro-transactions to a 20 year old remake of a PS1 game. He's far from a weirdo for pointing out how shameless this is.But why? Games are entertainment and they can add whatever they want to them.
