stops being scary after the first time you die though and quickly becomes a grind of constant restarts... which pretty much kills any 'scare' factor imo as you're just repeating the same moment over and over.

Oh that is a fantastic game for the real Alien fan. The setting is perfect, I get the negative comments about repetition though...it can be quite fraustrating at times. Easily the best Alien game out there though. ..a masterpiece in film / game tie ins.

Most of them rely on jump scares a bit too much. Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem was the only one that unsettled me a bit.

Illbleed on the Dreamcast was a good one for cheap scares. The mechanic was you had to keep your heart rate low or game over.

For anyone thinking about buying the snes mini, it is fantastic, its missing chrono trigger and well, loads of cracking titles. You can however add a fair few others very simply. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www....orial-add-games-to-the-snes-classic-mini/amp/

Its dead easy and makes the £69.99 even more of a bargain. Controller leads too short but I bought extension kits from amazon. The actual machine runs all the games perfectly...even scales well on 4k sets. Cant recco this enough.

Might pick up Pokémon Evee after this weekend. I'm really just waiting for the real Pokémon game they'll be announcing next year though.

The nostalgia should be enough from this one to last me a while.

I know i am in the minority but i actually think that it is the worst Alien game in the series. It was definitely very good graphics, very smooth and quite scary but it was the gameplay that destroyed it for me. I was sort of alright and still mildly interested until you started coming across the Alien. Then the gameplay changed to never ending repetitiveness of hearing the Alien approaching and having to hide very quickly. Just caused me massive frustration and made it impossible to enjoy. Can understand why many people like it though, just not for me gameplay wise.
