Computer games.

I have a good spec PC and have never gamed on it, I7 4790K,16gb ram, GTX 970 windforce 4gb.

I've mainly Xboxed online but don't do it much these days, Xbox live died for me the day party chat was invented.

What would you say are the top 3 PC games for online play at the moment, preferably I can play with a controller, not a fan of mouse and keyboard.
Define what you like in online games.

Based on pure popularity......

Probably PUGB, LoL and DOTA2

I like online shooters sometimes, into Sci Fi, a well done RPG is up my street too.

I built that PC about 2 years ago to give a few PC games a go but never got round to it, just stuck with the XBox.

So hyped for Shadow of War. Mordor is one of my favourite games of recent years.

Microtransactions in a single player game though... hopefully that doesn't ruin the balance.

any tried star wars battlefront 2 beta?
I have, on PC.
Its... meh. I don't enjoy the infantry gameplay enough to enjoy it in the short-term and the random crate system (which, at release, people can buy more of with real money I believe) doesn't give a sense of progression to enjoy it in the long-term so I'm not arsed about the game. I don't like the ground combat at all. Its still far, far away from the old Battlefront games. Its just too restrictive and confined, way more so than Battlefield, which is just weird.

The space mode called Starfighter Assault is quite a bit of fun despite half of what you shoot at (and what's on your team) being controlled by AI. I'm actually pretty good at that mode and got myself topping the leaderboards a few times, usually in TIE fighters.

Unless the beta is really unrepresentative of the final game, I probably won't be picking it up. So many times it felt like I was playing Battlefield with lasers, rather than Star Wars Battlefront, which is pretty disappointing. The crate system is really big negative, too. If they have something like that, the game should be free-to-play.

Mate grabbed it last night for 27 quid. Not the premier package, but the full thing. He may have a cocked up sale too so I'm hoping we both get a code for 13.50. The micros are totally manageable, as in, don't buy 'em. Afaik.

Agree it's crap...unless single player gets really good reviews I won't bother

I just wanted to point out, that just last week Disney have dusted off the old Battlefront II and given it a major update, along with adding multiplayer servers again!

64 player multiplayer goodness ahoy!!!
