Computer games.

Tbf mate the battle royale is just a side ting on the whole game.

Fortnite is about tower defence and crafting/looting/ building as a team to defend against waves of zombies.

Ultimately the whole thing will be free to plqy next year.

I think the crafting/building part of the game is a very interesting idea.

Its just my personal preference that visually the game doesn't motivate me to get into the game. Like I said, its the cartoon feel about it. Just like I had an issue with Borderlands.

I don't mean to put anybody off, like. Ijjy for example is having a somewhat different experience to myself by all accounts.

In the next couple days I'll post a proper personal review for you once I've logged a little more game time and tried some higher difficulty settings - if this will aid your decision in any way.

Nah mate, I was swaying to not buy it this year anyways, just by reading different reviews and hearing that PES could very well be the footy game to buy this year. Purely because of the playing mechanics and the realism feel. Having your own goal of the season contest in one game of FIFA just doesn't appeal to me.

Fair enough, if the style of art isn't for you then it may not do it for you.

Definitely worth a download and see for yourself once the full game goes free to play mind.

I bought it because I loved the concept and artwork. This was a major pull for me.

Played it alot but haven't in a while now, they seem to be updating it very regularly however and have genuinely listened to some of the feedback from the fans of the game. There has been a lot of new features etc, but ultimately the game still needs a great deal of work.

Hmmm I wasn't aware that they have listened to people's feedback of the game. That's also interesting.

The game is certainly catching on

Yeah mate well for example...

The players of the game wanted PVP. This wasn't an idea for them initially, but within 3-4 months of release there's a whole game mode with 100 player PVP (battle royale). This is far superior to what I had expected, and they even have a whole team dedicated to producing and improving this alongside the PVE side of the game.

Upon launch, the PVE game was incredibly easy, a massive tutorial if you will. Within a month they'd included storm modifiers which place random game-changing effects throughout certain missions on a rotation throughout the day - increasing difficulty and forcing you to play differently. This was a welcome addition.

On top of that, the exp economy was all wrong and very unrewarding. Hours grinding with very little progress. They altered the way you earn loot, how much EXP is given as rewards and so on. Not only that, they actually gave every existing player all of the EXP they had missed out on based on the alterations which was very nice.

Above all else small things like the ability to crouch has been added, and much more!

I am impressed with how they've been handling the game.

Hyped for this. 100 players, Realism focused with huge maps modelled exactly on the real life locations.

Do people still honestly get 'hyped' for another first person shooter? I mean it does look like fun, but in reality instead of having nice clear comms with mature guys like in the vid you'll get squeaky annoying kids screaming at you for being a noob and half the squad running off like Leroy Jenkins trying to get all the kills.

Can't get into it. I think its the cartoon feel about the game.

Just my opinion but it hasn't got a cat in hells chance with PUBG being such a fantastic game.

I've heard a few people say that about the cartoon feel. I don't really get it myself. It is a great looking game and the building aspect adds a whole new level to the pvp, when you can quickly build a tower and bridge to flank - it's pretty mad.

I've yet to see any bugs in Fortnite either, can't really say the same about PUBG at the moment.

How come I've not seen or heard of any demos for this Gran Turismo and it's due out this month? Last I saw was another delay story about the guy being a perfectionist

I just don’t hold out much hope for it. I picked up Project Cars 2 yesterday and although still a bit buggy and bloody hard I can’t see GT getting close.

We’ll see but the lack of hype around it give me fears.

On the topic of Fortnite battle royale, me and my squad just won our first one!

I got the final kill in an intense 2v2 at the end. It was a good buzz.

Leaderboards and supply drops will be welcomed additions next week.

I would like a reward system, perhaps something like credits awarded to buy cosmetics and different character models and accessories. Hang gliders etc.

It's pretty cool after you get a win, you then start being dropped in on am umbrella instead!

The old Gran Turismo's with the career mode though.

Souping out a Ford Galaxy and going berserk, trying to hit golds in the licences where you had to drive absolutely perfectly.

Good times.

The problem I always had with Gran Turismo is that you get so far and then it feels like you actually have to know something about cars to get any further.

Like I was just whacking mods onto the car and it was going actual slower. Be arsed.
