Computer games.

It's this fantasy stuff that puts me off.

Maybe when it gets cheaper I'll grab it.

Thanks for the info chaps.

I've never been into fantasy/rpg type stuff. Stuff like Skyrim and Final Fantasy never really appealed to me. Did quite like Fable on the 360 though.

Witcher 3 is fantastic though. It seems a bit daunting at first with all the potions and runes and xp but you don't need to bother too much with that at first and you soon work it all out as you go.

I quite like that you can just have a quick bandit/monster smashing session or you can spend a bit more time doing proper quests.

Oh and bewbs.

I LOVED skyrim and this looks interesting to me, might give it a go...I couldn't get into fallout tho which seems closer in RPG element?

I suppose Fallout had a bit more to it, but was it more the world that you didn't get into?

There is a lot more prep and fiddling about with skill trees and talents in Witcher 3, where as in Skyrim you could get away with just slamming points into archery and sneaking around everywhere to smash everyone.

yeah I found the fallout world dull, yeah I deffo did the archery thing!

the story and immersiveness was the best part of skyrim tho and what kept me going was wanting to know what happened next

I have just discovered I can play Half Life 2 with my gamepad, awesome. I'm rubbish at shooters with the mouse/keyboard, even though the mouse is more accurate, I struggle.

Has anyone else took a punt on 'They've all gone to the rapture' on PS4?

It is more of an "experience" than a game, but the score is pretty epic and the graphics are lush.

On my way to build a new PC

Wanted to wait til black Friday but my machine has pooed the bed. 6700k and a GTX 790 for now, will update the GPU when new sets come out Q2 next year rather than lashing 750 quid on a 980 ti now.

Was thinking of a 5820k for the extra cores at the same price (300 dollars) but honestly don't think it will make a difference for the next few years even with dx12

just finished Soma. what a mindfucking game.

this is on my cold-season playlist. loved Amnesia from the same studio, haven't played anything since finishing off the entire Half-Life/Portal series last autumn/winter...Soma's the only thing which is peaking my interest.

How long you needed 'til it was done?

wasnt a very long game. Not sure how many hours I used. Maybe 12 hours or something.

FIFA is dead. EVO is back.

the squads feature the roster of the 2014-15 season, something which is shameful ( Cech is still on the Chelsea team, Falcao at Man. U, ect). One can expect many unlicensed teams, but to not even have strips that are the same colour as the real teams is appalling. There are even fewer desirable teams than other versions of PES, with the exclusion of Bundesliga (except for 3 teams), particular Borrusia Dortmund being the most notable. Certain leagues are present (unlicensed may I add) that would not interest the average player, such as the Chilean league and the Championship. The game is also lacking many playable features, something which Fifa is not lacking. However, the actual gameplay and matches feel more engrossing and intense than Fifa but even that is stress inducing. It is way too easy to score and concede and sometimes feels like an arcade, scoring straight from kick off via a through ball is not uncommon. Goalkeepers are atrocious, they parry almost any ball into the box and any hard shot which is on target normally result in a goal. This was also present in the last iteration of PES I have played, 2008. The AI also seems to be lacking, as defenders fail to pick up runs and attackers are slow to react when in offiside positions. The only major positive in the whole game was the training modes, both skills and free training are enjoyable and improve your overall game.
