Computer games.

Thank you. I am very intrigued.

My only reservations are that I'm not really into fantasy type stuff (Harry Potter aside!), hate Lord of the Rings for example, but I do like the idea of a game where consequences of what you do really matter.

If you're not into fantasy stuff then it's probably not for you. It is a really lore-heavy game. The world has been built up over the 3 games, with recurring characters, story arcs etc (all taken from the Polish novels which STILL haven't been translated properly).

It's not a typical action game at all, it's very much an RPG - an action-RPG at a push. The combat and movement is quite atypical for modern games, and almost clunky until you get the hang of it.

While I wouldn't say it was quite a hardcore gamers game. It isn't far off. Tons of dialogue and back story. A real depth to the characters if you can be bothered to become immersed.

Actually, maybe it is a hardcore gamers game. I don't know anymore.

As with all fantasy RPGs Witcher 3 is story rich and full of lore. You get too know about the characters and its a story carrying on from 1 +2.

Magic and weapons, alchemy and crafting. It's also an open world so you can do missions at your leisure.

Very big game, perhaps try number 2 first and a get a gist of Geralts story. If you enjoy games like Skyrim then this is for you, if COD is more your thing I'd swerve.

It's this fantasy stuff that puts me off.

Maybe when it gets cheaper I'll grab it.

Thanks for the info chaps.

Plus you need a lot of spare time to complete the witche which is why I haven't bought it. Took me around 7 months to play dragon age. Can only put so many hours in now.

I can't wait.

Har har. More geeky without a doubt!

Only boring if your idea of fun is a night in with X Factor and a bottle of Blossom Hill (or if you don't like fantasy rpgs obv).

I LOVED skyrim and this looks interesting to me, might give it a go...I couldn't get into fallout tho which seems closer in RPG element?
