Computer games.

Sony Liverpool, formerly known as Psygnosis has shut up shop. They had good games back in the day, Lemmings and all that.

And the impossibly hard Shadow of the Beast series. Talk about a game with atmosphere.....

Also wipeout. That was a fun arcade racer!!

Fook that mate. I am not paying NZ prices. Say hello to USA purchases on Steam courtesy of Mr. Virtual Private Network (specifically, HMA. Really a top quality VPN that)

Any of you lads played that Sleeping Dogs ? Wanna know what people reckon of it before i splash out 40 quid on it.

Got good reviews and i'm tempted.

Plus Bombay Bicycle Club are on the soundtrack. Aces.

Downloaded it because of my mate who's mad about it.

GTA China. It's not bad, but then again I'm not exactly a fan of the GTA-type games, so... yeah. Liked it though.

Not a big GTA fan but I'm an open world fan.

So far I'm loving Sleeping Dogs. The melee combat is like a poor man's Arkham Aslyum/City, but still a cut above other sandbox games and really quite fun -- occasionally brutal too when you do special finishes, like carving up some poor sod's head in a fan.

The city's quite alive which is something I don't like about GTA these days. GTA IV for me was a bit wooden, but I'm liking the atmosphere of this. The cars are very arcadey to handle but quite fun. There's a now obligatory perk tree thing which adds a bit more choice and depth too.

All in all it's one of the better sandbox games I've played. Really enjoyable and there seems to be a good amount of content.

RFUS may have just sold this to me

One thing I don't understand is the audio side of the game. This is a fairly big release but it's not a AAA, mega-hyped blockbuster.

And yet there's a massive (and occasionally excellent) licensed soundtrack and a voice cast including Tom Wilkinson, Emma Stone and Lucy Liu, amongst a lot of other quality actors. They must have spunked half the budget on making it all sound nice.

Indeed - hardly any hype around this game.

I've had a gander at the soundtrack online. It's pretty awesome. The 80's radio station is right up my street.

Fair play to Square Enix. Activision tried to bury this game but they bought the rights* as they clearly saw something, and they've put a lot into it. It's a good game and I hope it pays off for them.

*to the game but not the True Crime name, if anyone's wondering. This is essentially True Crime 3 but they can't call it that. You don't need to have played the others though as it's a standalone game (I never really played them properly).

I bought it anyway (Sleeping Dogs) and its brilliant.
Gutted they didnt have the True Crime name on it as them games were superb.
Boss when you decide to FU a poor fella through a Cardboard Box and then he's just laid out, Dead. Shouldnt of tried to stab me the P**ck

Thaks for the heads up, but the only thing I do is watch Netflix and occasionally buy Steam games over it. I don't use it for torrenting or 'owt like that.
