Computer games.

To be fair NMS has gotten so much stick for what was shown pre release.

So let's see what state star citizen is in when it is actually released. If that day actually comes like ffs.

The difference is with NMS, all we had was the video's. With Star Citizen, you can play it right now. The planet stuff is slotted in for Jan with the 3.0 update. Oh yeah, and NMS just ended up being complete rubbish.

Despite my skepticism with SC, CIG listen to their audience and have made several changes based on player feedback. They say you can become an active part of the development and direction of the game, and it seems like they mean it.

Just getting back into GTA 5 at the moment. So frustrating trying to cracking on with missions with utter clowns joining and leaving lobbies. Right joke

Weird. I have been replaying GTAV myself. Although I steer clear of the online stuff. Doing all the story stuff again.

Played it for a bit last week, its boring man, it needs more heists, I even tried that CEO stuff, bought an office, a warehouse, bought loads of stock, spent all my money, went to deliver the goods to get paid and my mate crashed the plane into the side of a building, we quit and aint been back since.

lollollollol

Pretty much out of nowhere I've really gotten into Company of Heroes 2. A really great strategy game based in WW2 and it is historically accurate. Seems to have a pretty big multiplayer scene. If anyone's curious you can get it cheap now on Humble Bundle as they're celebrating 10 years of the series.

I would totally be all over that bundle, if it wasn't for the fact that I got all of them in a previous Humble Bundle.

Sick of people calling NMS a bad game. I enjoy it. What it does it does quite well and is fun for a good while. If there had been no fanfare and a small indie had just released it, people would have been a lot kinder and would have praised what they did accomplish, given their meagre team size.

The problem started I think when Sony got on board. All the money on advertising but none on someone to handle PR. Star Citizen is by a comparatively huge studio funded with a massive amount of money and comparing the two is harsh. If Star Citizen isn't much bigger and more fleshed out then something has gone wrong.

Anyway, we'll see what happens. There's a difference between alpha and a finished product. I hope it's great of course as it promises to be so and it looks like my kind of game, but using some pre release videos to take another dump on NMS is just petulant.

I am glad you enjoyed NMS. But it doesn't take away from my opinion that it is a bad game. I love my space games. I was so excited for NMS, but it has just turned out rubbish. And we still have a studio that is refusing to communicate with its playerbase. Well, all 900 people still playing.

Rust is an indie game that is allowing the players to be part of the development and it has more depth in the starter rock than NMS has.

A small team isn't an limitation to a games scope, it is an excuse. There are countless small team or one man band's out there putting out complex games.

And being a small team also isn't an excuse for putting out downright deceptive advertisements.
