Only ever seem to play the Showcase modes when I pick it up. Does the new one have good Showcase modes?

Always a plus point but I dont get why his story thing is against the Godfather....

I have never been a fan of them throwing in random guys on the game roster. Like when they gave us Sammartino but then gave us nobody for him to fight against. Chuck Ivan Koloff in or something!

The problem with me and these games (and most games to be honest) I buy them every year, play them about 3 times and then spend the rest of the year editing and creating so that I get the rosters I like (usually late 80's) and once I am done I do nothing with them until the new one comes out.

Haven't checked yet mate

I think you can do a Papa Shango Vs Godfather match in Showcase Mode, which they have the nerve to call a "Dream Match"

They could have easily done a Goldberg themed Showcase as well using guys like Hogan, Luger, Steiner, Nash, Hall, DDP etc, but I don't think they've done that

I would have loved to have Hugh Morrus as a playable character for instance

I loved it that they put Mikey Whipwreck on the last one

What I do is take my favourite non WWE guy, make or get a CAW of him and then use him for it. At least it feels somewhat realistic then.

Hogan is an issue right now of course but yeah that would make sense.

Anyone ever played the Godfather game(s) on the Xbox 360?

Might have to get a next gen console solely for Mafia 3. Mafia 2 is one of my favourite games of all time.

Never played the Godfather games but have heard they're pretty good.

I think you'll like Mafia 3 as well mate. It has all the same problems as Mafia 2 just about, BUT still has one of the most gripping stories i've ever experienced in a game.

Do they make a bit better use of the open world? It was a bit of a waste on Mafia 2. Could have done so much more with it.

If i'm being honest not particularly! It's slightly better as it nails New Orleans but there's still not a massive amount to do outside the missions.

yeah. I started mine and then re started with AJ styles downloaded. Found it a bit more fun to do but then once the grind kicked in then it stopped being fun.

The old PS2 modes were better, where you could walk around back stage and there was loads of storylines you could follow and stuff. an expanded version of that would make it a brilliant game
