For me....
Frontier: First Encounters
Doom
Fallout 3
(this can and does change frequently)
Never got into half life 2.
My top 3
Operation Flashpoint
IL2 1946
Empire Total War.
Yes but Op Flashpoint is their daddy and had the bigger impact for me.Not a fan of the ARMA series?
Are you new mate?
Anyway looks like witcher iii started the phase of old tech being obsolete a few years in. After @bizzaro tips I've been doing more research and 4k definitely is a separator, and noticeable at 2k, for framerate and stability.
I'm now looking at securing a 980 ti hybrid card and a current i5 or i7 (though it appears 4th gen also do well but theyre basically the same price over here (i5 230 bucks, i7 350), which also brings ddr4 only (little difference to performance right now) so basically need an entire new computer, hard drives aside. Even though I could buy a 2500k I'd still need the GPU and a new mobo so the bulk of my spends would still happen.
Note that with my 6950 I've been able to play whatever I've wanted for a long time, so if the next one up lasts me 6 years its not a disaster
