Computer games.

Thanks for the advice, but you seem to forget I have been messing about with PC's since I was a sprog tinkering with my 8088 (with a whopping 640kb of RAM, 4MB HDD and CGA graphics!!)

I can handle a laptop RAM upgrade ;)

You never know when help is needed though DD

I know, it was a bargain buy/gift, as I had nothing at the time because my PC was getting too old and also goosed, so I just went for that. That was my max as well...

:(

Sorry dude. Just get a job that has a requirement for being mobile, needs beefy specs and gives you a decent budget and allows you to pick the machine that works for you ;)

My PC is basically a console, but with more power than a console could dream of. Can just pick it up and plug into a telly anywhere I want.

lol at consoles and their 30fps though.

Thats the kicker there. All that 'next generation tech' that was actually obsolete before it was even released.

They just released Elder Scrolls Online to consoles...it's 30fps. I'm running it at 80fps. It's laughable. My PC isn't even that much more expensive than a console either.

The reason I prefer PC gaming is because all console titles are shallow twitch games for the ADHD generation. Crusader Kings is getting mentions, you will never see a game like that on the Xbox and that's not even hard core strategy.

Not entirely true, but I know what you mean. Look at No Mans Sky coming for PS4 and PC, that isn't even remotely a twitch game. Elite: Dangerous on Xbox One (although still capped at 30fps lulz!!) just a couple of examples. Fallout is coming, TES games....etc etc
