Computer games.

Bought Rayman and Destruction Derby for the SEGA Saturn

Neither of them would work

"Oh well, I thought, that's the risk you take with old games I guess"

So I bought another copy of each and stuck them in

They don't work either. Other games that I have seem to be running okay though

So, either my Saturn just can't play those games for some reason, or it's just really difficult finding a copy of those games that work

Either way, FML

Had a similar problem with the Dreamcast mate. Have a Google. I found a fix for the Dreamcast by tinkering with the laser inside the machine. Works fine now.

Have to remember how old these machines are now. Also if there are any scratches on the disk, even small ones, it probably won't work. I think Sega used really crap weak lasers.

Bells.

so got the ps4 eventually. Couldnt get batman with it, well i could have but probably would have taken a week longer to come and spent too long travelling to get it.

Has quite blue menus......

seriously had no time to play agame because of the updates. Lovely to see sony has fixed most problems except for download times.

Never a fan of the series to be honest

Played the first one and couldn't get into it. Haven't played one since. Just not my cup of tea
Same here. Just something about the game that didn't sit right with me. Playing wise, Hard to describe, too clunky ?? Idk what I'm trying to say.

When I moved to the states and got a job, a work colleague who became a friend of mine was actually pro gears of war player. On the mlg circuit, going around the country.

Jaemercs from mbn the business. Even he couldn't get me into it. A weird game really.

Yeah, I just found it too difficult really and didn't enjoy the controls

I think it suffered as well due to how hyped it was before I played it

It's similar for Halo actually. That was so hyped beyond all semblence of reason that when I played it I found it kind of "meh". Co-Op was fun though, that I will way

Now you mention halo, that brings me to another idea of why gears didn't sit right with me. I bought an original Xbox because of halo and became a halo junkie. Loved the linking up of the xboxes, overnight halo parties drinking and having a laugh. Friends bringing over tv's and whatever lol.... good times.

When halo 3 came out I didn't play or play another title for at least 4 years. The halo campaigns were decent but it was the online aspect that I was hooked on. Each to their own and all that but halo 3 hit the spot for me. I loved the 8v8 team battles and how they'd play out, the carnage and just incredible adrenaline rushed fun.

Back in 09/10 I used to go into 8v8 matchmaking daily with the same lads, lads I'd met through playing the game. Regularly being matched against other actual teams of 8, similar to ourselves. There is something very very addictive about that, when 16 decent players are going at it, the smack talking before and after, the different strategies certain teams had and trying to control it.

I'm going off on one now like and sound a right nerd but nothing has come close since for that level of enjoyment online. So maybe halo and my addiction played some part in me not liking gears. You get used to a certain shooter game, the mechanics, buttons etc.
