Computer games.

Believe it or not I still play Sonic and Hedgehog on my computer. Saved me some good old sega games. They give nostalgia. Haha

Yeah Sega megadrive was my first console. I have all the sonics and street fighters, streets of rage etc on me ps3. They still hold up today -graphics obviously dated but they made great art with the tools at their disposal back then.
Nostalgia probably plays its part but top quality games still -I think anyway.

I'm playing gta5 storymode for a second time and I am.aiming for 70 gold medals. (it's the equivalent of playing it on hard mode). When I first played it my ps3 was broke and was making an unbelievable load noise so it was a shitty way to experience it. On this playthrough it's much more enjoyable. I am noticing the little things in it.
The only game I have ever platinumed was Red Dead Redemption and that was because I was smitten by that game. I was considering doing the same with this game just because it looks very achievable. I already have all the online ones done almost by accident.

Question mate.

I'm never too arsed my trophies and so on (bit like Everton apparently!), do you actually get anything extra if you do get them all?
Basically is there any point?

I'm not a big trophy guy myself but when I really like a game and it's rare these days but I like to just have a look at the challenges and if it's fun I will go for them. They are meaningless really. I did it on red dead because I was fanatical about that game and just liked the idea of having atleast one platinum even though I'm not too hung up on it. I kinda like the idea of looking back in a few years and saying to myself 'yeah I played the [Poor language removed] out of that game that I loved'

So in short no nothing is to be gained from the trophies. Only personal satisfaction in a way.

A mate got me buying Battlefield 4, and I have to say I regret it. It has some nice features, but gameplaywise it's not very good.
Weapons are unbalanced, and some of the maps are the worst I've experienced. Battlefield 3 and Bad Company 2 are far superior in my opinion.

Took a load of my old 360 games to cex yesterday and got over a hundred quid for them, got £16 for bully which I thought was decent since I paid about a fiver for it about 5 years ago. Got a second xbone controller and got alien: isolation, the evil within and wolfenstein with the money. Wanted to get either GTA or dragon age but they never had GTA in and dragon age was £50 second hand, which I thought a bit too steep. had a bit of a go on alien last night and didn't realise it was a 20 hour game. Looks spot on visually but didn't realise it was a stealth type game. I only play for a couple of hours a day max and prefer games I can play for a bit and just put down till I want to do another mission, like assassins creed. The save points are like dead rising where if you play a mission for half an hour and die before saving you have to start again, no check points in the middle like most games these days.
