Computer games.

Tried this out as well as it’s on Game Pass.
Blue Prince. A really intriguing puzzle rogue lite, where you have to find your way through a 25 room mansion to get to the ‘26th’ room.
The rooms only generate as you pass through a door and you get a random choice of 3 rooms it could be on the other side, of which you have to pick one.
These vary from corridors with multiple exits, puzzle rooms and dead ends etc.

You have a limited number of rooms you can pass through before having to restart the day.
Every time you restart the day, the layout of the mansion resets. Some elements persist through each day though.

Seems great so far!

If the early screenings are any indication, this could end up being one of the worst games of the year. Also you can’t get a bigger red flag than a studio refusing to send out review codes for its debut game and brand-new IP.

Will be interesting to see the game come 6pm this evening

My god online game media is the absolute worst.

Could be great but could also be worse than Imperator: Rome (which Paradox shamefully abandoned after wrecking it with a patch) and the two Rome: Total War games were.

It's the Anno series, quality is always VERY high. Anno 1800 is a masterpiece and i expect this to be even better.

Agreed, but Synth's point still stands. They literally had to open the dev console during the preview screening just to bypass glitched areas. I would be happy if most studios skipped out on giving early review codes, but unfortunately it's just not a industry norm anymore. Given the current state of the gaming industry and the amount of slop out there, I usually check one or two reviews from independent sources before committing to a purchase.

anyone here have the xbox live game pass? any PC games to try out?

I mainly play Halo, EA FC, Apex, COD etc

I feel like there are so many games now out to try that I don't even know where to start when trying out a new game.

It’s not like any of the games you’ve mentioned but I’m pretty sure Clair Obscur Expedition 33 is on Game Pass and it is brilliant. Best game I’ve played this year and in a while actually.

+1, game of the year material and on Game Pass, which we found out by pure accident.

However, sports and twitch shooters are nothing like it

The new Doom is on it too if you're into that, as well as just about every older Doom/Wolfenstein. For the rest and whatever you like - https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-game-pass/games middle of the page has a filter for PC games and genres. I'm personally on a Game Pass Ultimate as it's worth it but obviously YMMV.
