Computer games.

I've been playing for over a decade now. It's an incredible game if you can get stuck into it, but I can only imagine how overwhelming it is for a new player. It has a massive learning curve and is a huge timesink. Can easily spend 20 hours on pre season alone.

Possibly got 3 months off work so that's all the timesink I need haha.

The graphics are also absolute dog dirt IMO for Warzone.

Are you playing on PC or console ? On PC It just looks like the standard multiplayer with slightly toned down textures and lighting. standard multiplayer is perfectly decent looking. It's a million miles away from 'dog dirt'.

PC (and a great one at that). It's more the textures at distance I'm on about mate, like when running over the fields or looking out onto them. Dog dirt was an exaggeration but I did stop on the first match and say what the Hell has happened here.

ok, yeh the long range textures are bad but that's pretty standard for Battle Royale games or any game with very long view distances , until they figure out a way to render grass at long distances (pretty much impossible with todays hardware) then all these large scale games are going to suffer the same issue. If they lowered the player count they could have probably improved the long range textures a bit... id rather have 150 players though.

Yeh never played any other BR type game so this is my first experience but if this is normal I can deal with it.

The sounds are mad - the gunshots in particular can be heard from absolutely anywhere, yet footsteps and the like are like walking on carpet.

Had 2 wins and a whole load of losses, both wins whilst playing with two mates. Be astonished if a team ever wins without communicating over a headset, quite tactical but i'm really enjoying it. It has a lot of flaws but for a first release it's pretty impressive.
The gunshot thing is insane. I was on a high point with a nice line of sight down a road containing small buildings. I hear a close gunshot so get cover and scope the street, the people were so far away they were over a minute of running away.

Not related to your comment but I'm on Ps4 so graphics seem fine compared to what I've seen from fortnight which looks like a child made it.

Also, if there's any good to come out of recent events, it's the number of 'free weekends' and sales that are on as a result.

Less than a fiver for Darkest Dungeon is an absolute steal... providing you have the cast iron patience and temper to play the game
