Computer games.

What with the new Playstation classic announcement today, retro-gaming is a HUGE market it seems.

I've been tempted to invest in one of these which boast of featuring thousands of titles...

Has anyone got one? Are they any good/reliable/playable? Bottom line is: are these things any GOOD?

I'm not tech-minded so I don't know about specs/speeds/emulator/ROMS and all that caper.

The link above is just one of loads of sites offering them....
Let us know if you end up getting one. Some games on there I've struggled to get and would like to play again so may save up for one of these.

I dunno whether to taker the plunge TBH, I'd want to know how sturdy these things are, how reliable they run, how accessible they are and whether the control systems match up... a lot to consider since there are so many games systems featured.

Will let you know if I eventually cave in like...

That is, unless anyone else on here has already purchased one and can tell us all if they are much cop?

ANYONE???

I was debating getting this instead of the Playstation Classic. If it runs smooth and well it's worth the money.

Yo! I just decided to replay system shock 2 last weekend! Still a lot of atmosphere in that game.

F.E.A.R. while it has aged now, is still a corker..... And still the only game to have made me actually jump while playing.

X3 is like Elite, but even more!!
The latest Resident Evil was brilliant and I have to admit it had me jumping a few times.

I specifically remember a 'here's Johnny' type moment that shook me, ended up dying and having to replay that part - only to jump again despite completely expecting it.

That's the thing.... Want to know how sturdy and reliable these machines are before shelling out for one. Don't know anyone who owns one yet so I'm a bit wary of buying one blind. The ps classic does look smart but I already have the choice titles downloaded via psn....

The problem with the PS classic is that they only have 20 games. Does it have the option to download more? If not then what's the point?
