Computer games.

Until you snap an elastic band or break a piece of cardboard and have to pay what I'm assuming will be rip off prices to replace it, if their amibos are anything to go by.

Surely spare parts shouldn't be an issue. You just cut out what you need, looks like they come flat packed so you have the outer edge which is the same strength/thickness and then you gaffer it up or if the moving parts allow (or can be moved) you could double layer and glue for that bit extra security.

Anyone who has built one of those 3d stadium puzzles or a model ship might have had experience doing something makeshift with the left overs to get it how you want/replace another bit that broke.

Sadly it absolutely screams fad to me.

I’m no parent but having a load of crap cardboard laying around the house doesn’t sound much fun to me.
Fad or not, the pre-orders are through the roof and supposedly Nintendos' stock is up $1.4 billion...

It's a very clever idea imo and Nintendo are probably the only company who can pull it off.

I mean playstations best idea recently is to bring out an xbox style controller, and xbox' best idea is to.. re bring out the avatar mii things that died years ago!

You are trolling right? Both Zelda and Mario are absolutely beautiful.

The switch as a console is the most fantastic piece of gear I've picked up in years. It's seamless in almost every way.

They are beautiful I am not disputing that. A PlayStation 3 could run them which is ten year old tech.

Seamless??? Now you are trolling. This is what you need to talk to another player...

That would be laughable 10 years ago. Hell 15 years ago.

Oh don't get me wrong Nintendo don't understand how to perform online. The online gameplay works fine but it's overly safe.

If you're going to use a third party app to talk to your friends on a different device I'd rather just use discord than the nintendo thing. That could change when the paid service is live though.

And yeah sure but most games on the latest PS/Xbox could probably run on their previous counterparts too let's be honest. The Xbox one X for example is the 'most powerful console ever' yet it's utterly pointless and can barely even hit 30fps on PUBG, let alone the fact almost nothing comes in a true 4K.

Edit; btw you don't actually need wires and stuff to use the nintendo chat app, not sure if they are simply there for hyperbole on the diagram

Scumbag? lol

It's no big secret that the Switch is less powerful than the XB1 and PS4. Zelda and Mario kart 8 are both ports from the Wii U so Mario Odyssey probably could run on the WiiU. All 3 games still look incredible, but you're probably disappointed with the grass density.

Can I also remind you that it's essentially a handheld.

The pop-in in zelda was annoying aswell. Listen I like my switch. I just think it has a lot to go to blow me away me. It as the potential. They really need to start getting good software that makes it handy for communication. And a few other bits of good software. The memory is shocking.

The joy-cons are a very capable Wii-mote. I'd be all over a switch sports if done right and maybe bring back out the Wii sports titles. Epic couch multi-player, even these days I bust the Wii out.

I think you can be guaranteed there will be a switch sports at some point mate.

As it is right now plenty of games are given couch coop multiplayer on switch which is a godsend as it's a dying art.

I agree with this. I think Nintendo aren't too keen on a chat feature because of nonces.

Sure I have my PS4 I don't need switch to be. I know it has its in thing going on. As I said it has great potential to knock my socks off.

I'll add you later on buddy.

The codes are nonsense but it spins back to the safety thing as it's largely aimed at kids. As it is, it's a small price to pay for all things I enjoy about the switch so far.

Again, the introduction of the paid online service might improve nintendos online services.

I haven't touched my xbox in weeks due to my new switch. However, dragonball fighterz and monsterhunter world will pull me back!
