Computer games.

Mafia 3 does get a bit 'samey' after a while Eric mate but stick with it as there are some bloody ace bits in it.

I actually really enjoyed Mafia 3 - Yes there's a lot of 'rinse and repeat' gameplay - but even the little touches like collecting vintage Playboys and album covers made me want to explore the map

Also, best game soundtrack ever? (Maybe Vice City runs it close)

Bought Planet Coaster in the Steam sales this week, it's exactly what I was after.

From what I've read I made the right choice to leave it a year as it has been heavily updated and improved. Reminds me a bit of Minecraft in that it is only your creativity that limits you. Proper time hole where you can end up spending hours just designing one building.

Need some computer advice badly!

I have bought the witcher 3 and now dying light and neither work. Both don't launch in steam at all. Steam goes to run it and then nothing happens. I have tried all different fixes and nothing happens and I get a windows error when launch the exe.

Only thing I have done recently is update windows to the latest version. But both games aren't working. Anyone have a clue what the fix actually Is?

Nvidia card and are you talking about the Creator's update (fall version)?

Is it a directX error? A steam overlay error? Updated to your latest video driver etc? Have you tried disabling the game bar feature in the Nvidia driver? ...

Yeah the latest update for Windows. Not sure if that is causing the issue however as I pirated dying light a few months ago and it wouldn't launch then either. (Not pirating games anymore btw, learned my lesson with that and just buy them now). I bought batman arkham city at the same time and that works fine.

I have scanned the gpu and there is no update for it.

I have ran DirectX through the dying light files.

I have ran repairs on all the visual software so far.

I have checked integrity of files and reinstalled them.

Does any of that narrow it down? Steam isn't refusing all my games, batman and rocket league both launched fine. So it's them games specifically my computer is refusing to run.

If it's any more help I am using a Samsung tv through a dvi port/wire , have a gtx1050 and i5 2400s cpu with 64b windows installed and 8gig of ram

Oh and gta5 runs so it can't be down to graphics

I can only comment about Witcher tbh. Don't play the other game. It can be a lot of things. Witcher had issues with overlays (with loads of people), so see if disabling the overlays (especially the Nvidia one; you probably don't need it anyway unless you record your gameplay) works. Disable all the non-essential background services/applications (maybe they have some issues with the new version etc) (This way you can pinpoint what the problem is...).

Trial and error. And creator's update wasn't the best tbh. Nothing really wrong with piracy if you use a trusted release - to see if you enjoy the game so you can buy the full game later on.

I'm 9 hours into Divinity Original Sin 2 now. Beautiful and really deep roleplaying game - and it's also one of the hardest games I've played. Really enjoying the challenge of trying to master the combat of this game. I can feel I'm getting better every fight, though I've still got a long way to go.

If it's any help also the error seems to stem from SYSTEM32\MSVCP110.dll

I have followed a link and repaired using patch 4 of the visual stuff also now and nothing

Since you tried the obvious solution and verified the game cache in Steam you could try this: Download a copy of that file and place it in both the (in your windows directory) System32 and Syswow64 directory (has to be in both maps)? Or here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=53840

bought that motorsport manager in the steam sales as I read a couple of articles and it looked like a cool spin on footy manager. Wouldn't load up on my laptop so got a refund. oh well. at least steam do refund easily if you haven't played more than 2 hours. was only 6 quid as well
