Computer games.

New Wolfenstein game is the best single player game i've played in years. It's just spectacular from start to finish and the cut scenes are a level above anything i've seen before.

I wondered if anyone else was playing this! I loved New Order, The Old Blood felt a bit hollow in terms of a story, but really liking Colossus so far.

The characters/story side of the game is genuinely engaging and seriously well put together (also in the New Order). Bloody tough in places though, my difficulty level is scaled right down!

What’s that mate?

I’ve not had this issue.

It’s a great game but I don’t know...may have expected something a bit more spectacular from a COD game.

The servers have been awful so trying to play multiplayer and it would just stay on the loading page. Seems to be sorted now

I still have no idea why anyone in their right mind would buy this One X.

£450 for something that plays the same games as something you can get second hand right now for closer to £100 or brand new for £200 with two brand new games bundled. Not only that, a system that has terrible exclusives and has had its arse handed to it by Sony for the last four years. Just because a few lines are smoother on some games, but even then only if you have a 4K TV?

Bonkers. I spend hundreds on game systems from 20+ years ago and even I think you'd have to have more money than sense to get one of these.

It hasn't been getting it's arse handed to it by Sony. Sure, the PS4 has been selling better, but I would be quite happy with the income that the Xbox One is generating.

Why buy an Xbox One X? Why buy a GTX 1080 Ti when you already have a 1080? To have the best. Some people want the latest and greatest.

Plus, this is just my musing, I would imagine they are releasing this system with VR/AR in mind.

Just because you don't personally see value in it, doesn't mean other's won't. Amazingly you aren't the litmus test to buy gaming consoles.

GT Sport's online races are my favourite thing in computer games for absolutely ages and ages.

And i've not even won a single one yet. Best race finished 3rd after qualifying 7th.

Honestly thought i'd hate it but so glad I gave it a go.

Erm... it's called an opinion mate? I'm not saying people don't; I'm saying I personally don't - hence why I used the word "I".

this is how many pc users feel about people who buy any console...

I own both before someone calls me a neckbeareded pc elitest.

I own a PS4 and Switch and will pick up an original XBoxOne for Rare Replay second hand at some point. I get why people buy consoles; I just don't really get why people will buy this console. Especially right now at any rate - there really doesn't seem much point. A year down the line where it might have a few exclusives and the price drops, then maybe, but I think devs will still develop to the larger install base - which is the original - meaning all you'll get on the XBox One X is a few optimised games.

As for Dylan saying it's because people "want the best" and gives the 1080 to 1080Ti as an example - well, I'd think they were out of their minds too. Developing a whole new console to cater to that very small mindset is akin to making the SegaCD or 32X. Just a baffling decision to me.

It's the same people who spent thousands on a 4k tv even though there was nothing to watch in 4k.

As you say, more money than sense, but every time a new slightly better version of something comes out it means the older slightly worse version comes down in price. I've got a ps4 but I'm quite tempted by a £100 XB1. I was hoping Wii U prices would drop further when the Switch came out but they stayed about £130.
