Some PSU’s have a little on/off switch themselves, then the case has its on/off switch. No real noise from anything. Shame I can’t add the video to show.

Tomorrow night I’m going to take the case apart and triple check everything is plugged in fully. Something might have come out of place when trying to shove cables into case space to get the back plate on.

Should always check the connections before switching on the power.

Also did you earth yourself before handling the components?

Doesn’t beep, no. I’ll definitely try without the GPU in. It’s quite a tight case at the back so once things are in its nigh on impossible to see if they’ve popped out. I’ll pull everything away and try it.

Am I risking burning something out trying to turn it on with this happening though?
Did you earth yourself or are you wearing a strap to earth yourself? Before you started that is

Did you install the processor? Or was it on the board already you purchased? If you installed it check that its sitting right.

Take out anything that's not necessary for boot up so any peripheral devices and the memory. you only need the PSU and Processor for it to boot up. That way you have less cables obstructing your view and it simpler to see.

Reseat all cables.

No beep means no power or a CPU that is disconnected. That link Random posted is defo a good read for understanding the basics of what to expect especially the beeps section.

If processor is good it sounds like PSU has issues.

I didn’t wear an earth strap but I did touch the metal case every 5 seconds out of paranoia.

No peripherals are in so was just PC and power. CPU attached myself but only fits one way so can’t go wrong there.

Guess I’m just going to have to reverse through it till I find an error. Ballache but ah well.

Yeah, good post, do this, start with bare minimum and add things one at a time.

Ah ok cool.

Yep that's a good idea just reverse your steps you might find the offending cable.

@random brought up some good points too be worth checking his comments.

Like prior to same cable management this is what I had to try sort out. The gap centre bottom is obviously back of PSU so once I had anything plugged together you just can’t get your hand into try anything. Cable management was by far the hardest part of the build.

Sometimes i think some of these companies overthink their designs. Whatever happened an open space with cradles. So you had more space.

Anyway had you tried simply plugging the main cable from the PSU into the board connector?

that and just that?

Just the 24-pin? No I hadn’t tried that when I started, I naively just assumed it would all work. Tomorrow I’m just going to unplug it all from behind and try power it up one connection at a time.

Still can’t work out how my bloody room light popped mind lol

Ah ok lol

Best option start out clean unplug everything.

Then simply plug the PSU into the motherboard and that's it. As long as the processor is in too it should power up.

so simply the system board with Processor and psu connected and nothing else. As Random said before listen for beeps. It would be worth doing what he suggested also by plugging monitor into the adapter connector build onto the system board. So you can see if it starts booting up.

Do the basics first then if it does get power one at a time connect everything else. Start with the memory next. Do the graphics card last.

Which is why I like mine, plenty of room, unfortunately its a full-on dust magnet.

Was fitting a new SSD card at the weekend and giving it a good de-dusting at the same time. As you can see I just plugged the card in and make sure it works before faffing around tidying it all up.
