This seems to be the trend at the minute. Well compared to when he first started off at right back Coleman has improved his defending 100% IMO.

Maybe but, his rash treatment of Ross Barkley needs some sort of explanation. He has made an impact at every International level he has played at, every club he has been loaned out to, looked very good in our first team at the start of last season and has now been given the cold shoulder. Then there is John Lundstram, how do you explain beating Cheltenham away in the cup comfortably and he puts Hitz on over these two? what type of message does this send to our youth player?
I fear for this lad after the treatment of barkley. lets hope the summer brings change.
If Moyes threw these kids into the team and we got battered by Wigan and slipped down to tenth, what would be the reaction on here?
We still have an opportunity this season and it would be re-miss of him not to give the players who got us here the opportunity to finish the job.
All the young players will get the opportunity to prove their credentials pre-season and hopefully a couple of them will make the breakthrough for next season.
I dont know where the optimism about Stones comes from. He may turn out to be a first team player or he may just sink without trace. I doubt anyone on this forum has any experience of watching him either. He's a youngster for the future. It's like saying Kennedy is about to knock Pienaar off his perch to talk about Stones putting pressure on Coleman anytime soon.
Kennedy was playing in the first team in the SPL. It means nothing. The pair of them are 18 and never going to get a chance for years.I'd imagine it comes from the lad having a rep as one of the best RB's in the league below us and more than a few in the game talking him up. He's not a kennedy or even a coleman. We have paid big money foe him.

Probably not. I'd imagine being one of the better defenders in the championship is a fiar bit harder than the likes of the SPL though.
I think Stones will be a CB by the way Moyes is talking. Used as cover similar to how he uses Jagielka. Hopefully he'll be having a season on loan next year.
Still room for optimism though.
He's 24.
Yeah, I accept questioning the optimism about his progress was wrong. Both him and the Scottish kid have good reports. Knowing Moyes' recent reluctance to turn to youth though (if he's still here) they'll have to wait until they're in their early 20s before they get a debut.
